36. Meet Again

Ravi crouched behind the wall when he suddenly caught a glimpse of Daniel's fleeting shadow passing right in front of him. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, his growing panic drawing every inch of Ravi's body into a painful knot. He slumped to the ground as his heartbeat quickened, his neck feeling as if it were tightly bound by an invisible rope.

The pain Ravi experienced never seemed to settle on any specific part of his body; he often felt it coursing through his entire being. Curling up in a secluded corner of the dimly lit street, he buried his face into his knees. With every throb of pain that gripped his body, Ravi could sense Daniel's resentment seething within him.

Alone in the shadowy corner of the street once more, Ravi regretted not having Raymond with him. He thought nothing would happen when he just went to the nearby minimarket.
