"Ravi?"

Ravi opened the door to his small abode and was taken aback to find it enveloped in darkness. He returned home to be greeted by Raymond's whimpering. Ravi flicked on the light to be met with Raymond's haggard face, tears streaking down his cheeks.

"Ravi? I've been waiting for so long," Raymond said, his voice barely above a whisper. He stood stiffly before him, his hand hovering as if to reach out to Ravi. How long had Raymond been crying like this?

Ravi didn't know how to respond to Raymond. He was too tired to react; his body ached with exhaustion. Yet, he couldn't dismiss Raymond like this; he had been waiting for hours.

"I'm sorry," was all Ravi could manage to say.

"Ravi, is there someone—"

"No, don't ask anything about that," Ravi quickly interjected, cutting off Raymond's words. Bringing it up again would only worsen Ravi's pounding headache. He gently pulled Raymond's arm, guiding him to sit on their bed. "Why are you crying like this?"

Raymond didn't immediately answe
