You Are Getting Married

You Are Getting Married.

Marcello's POV.

Mounting into my silver coloured Ford fusion hybrid car ,I rested my body down for a second in silence as I peered at the bus that the so-called silly lady had stepped aboard.

I could still get a glimpse of how astonished she was the split second she laid her eyes on my car and how I had ascended into it.

Inwardly, I was seething but I just had to conceal it to avoid revealing how ruthless I could be towards her.

I just wasn't capable of forgetting the fact that she had actually been in collision with me as I tried alighting the public bus.

And to make things all worse, she had kept on acting like the boss after making me lose my ring, my mom's precious ring and belonging.

The only item that had helped me think about my mom all these years after her death which happened right before my eyes.

Her ring had kept me going but the clumsy lady had made me lose it and I disliked clumsy girls.

Anger flooded my veins as I thought about her but with flickered irritation.

I was so infuriated at such a point but just couldn't retaliate knowing my guards would stop me.

They arrived just in time to pick me up from the bus stop and that should make her thank her stars.

They were all well seated inside each car that had come to pick me up from the bus station.

I turned to Vincent who was sitting right beside me and thinking about how tense he was when he saw my mom's ring fall into the pit, I rictus in pain before darting my gaze from him.

"Can she pay me for the ring? Yeah I wish" I scoffed as I thought about the silly ass lady who had just made me lose my mom's ring because of how half witted she was.

Because of how inelegant she was. The disgust I felt for her at the moment just couldn't leave my head.

"You know, I should have listened to you" I said to Vincent who was waiting for me to speak up to him first.

"What are you referring to sir?" He questioned as he turned to me with a perplexed look on his face.

"I shouldn't have entered the bus in the first place, knowing how risky it was for both you assistant and me" I uttered regretfully knowing what it had cost me.

"It's not your fault Sir, I should have guarded you properly. I wasn't just doing my job well" He suddenly bowed to me as he took the blame.

But deep down in me, I was sure he tried his best to prevent this incident from happening, it was as though he saw it coming.

Vincent had warned me carefully to avoid going into the bus when I tried buying tickets for two but I just didn't want to listen to him order me around.

He was my assistant, my second so listening to him was definitely going to kill my respect. I thought to myself.

I took orders from no one, except my dad. I was always a man that does whatever was in his heart and Vincent couldn't change that, not ever.

I declined every opportunity to listen to him when he pleaded with me to stay back before I climbed into the bus and now, here I was raging with anger because of her.

I felt totally uncomfortable inside the bus back then that I prayed it would arrive at the station soon, only to climb out of it and get bumped into the unknown lady.

Now, trying to forget about the ill lucked event was just impossible and I wasn't sure why.

"Fuck" I struck my hand on the chair that was before me angrily as I thought about her even deeply.

Was this confusion or was it some feelings I wasn't sure about ? Like the kind that happens in tv shows? I thought to myself briefly, tightening my fist.

I just couldn't place my hand on anything that could make me forget her, to forget thinking about her while I was in the car.

Staring at the bus station alone made me recall every little detail and that didn't exclude how I saw the worst in her.

Suddenly, I noticed Vincent turn to glance at me with a bland look on his face before he spoke up to me.

"You look worried Sir, it's that why we haven't left the bus station yet??" Vincent inquired without turning to look at me this time.

I navigated my gaze to him immediately and with a forced smile on my face, I responded to his question.

"Vincent?, Why don't you go grab the wheel and take us out of here, since you are the boss to tell him when and where to go?" I asked rhetorically which made him totally uncomfortable, sitting with me in the same car.

He adjusted his black tie that was knotted around his neck and I was glad that he was put in his place.

I didn't hate him, I just loved teasing him but most times, I went extreme.

I paused for a second as I stared at his cute little fingers trying to make his body comfortable in the car and all I could just do was to smile mockingly.

"Sir…?.." he called the minute he noticed I was just staring at him and smiling.

Seeing how he noticed me, I just couldn't help but say something to him, to end the awkward feeling.

"You could still recall the face of the lady that had bumped into me right?" I probed with my hands tightened in a grip as I thought about her.

"Yes sir… I recall her looks very well" he responded with a perplexed look on his face and an instant bow to me.

"Good.." I nodded my head in fulfilment.

"Find her, find out everything about her, what she eats, where she works and where she stays"

"She can't be indebted to me and not be able to pay back. Do you understand?" I ordered with a serious gaze at him this time.

"Yes Sir…" He returned with a deep voice which sounded more like a deep whisper.

"She must pass through hell paying back for that ring" I halved a smile on my face, knowing what she was going to pass through because of her unplanned acts.

I dazed at the seat before me as I was still in trance when suddenly, Vincent's phone rang out so loud, pulling me out of my thoughts and imaginations.

I turned to him immediately as I watched him take out his phone right from his Pocket and responded to the call without any hesitation.

"What is the matter?" I questioned the minute he ended the call.

"It's dad , Sir Marcello" he uttered, pulling me off my feet.

My eyes bulged out as I just couldn't believe that my dad, the terror himself, had called.

"Dad?? I don't get it, he said he won't cross paths with me again so why the hell is he calling?" I asked with disgust in my tone for my dad as I never wished to hear from him again.

"I am not sure Sir but, you are needed at the mansion and….."

Vincent was going to say but then, I stopped him before he made silly assumptions that I disliked.

"Don't say any more words to me, Vincent. You always think you are right about him…nonsense" I tsk as I averted my gaze from him immediately.

Vincent loved supporting my dad at every chance he got and I hated such from him.

He was supposed to be my best friend and was expected to follow my rules and order all the time and not my dads but the opposite was the situation with him.

"I'm sorry sir" he apologised with respect which made me suspect him even more.

"I am not going to meet him no matter what, so the earlier you get the thought of trying to force me to go to him out of your silly head, the better for you and I." I mentioned as I swallowed down my frustration but still seething my anger which was written on my face.

I looked at my driver and without delay, I made my destination known to him.

"To the mansion" I commanded Grey, my driver who has obviously been waiting for my order to him all these while.

He started the car engines and within a few hours, we got to the house so I could rest and take my dad off my head.

I was still thinking about how to avoid responding to my dad's call when suddenly, last night's event flashed through my head.

Last night at the stripping house wasn't something I could forget though. The way I pushed the masked lady off me was something I didn't imagine to do but, she deserved it though.

"We are here, Sir Marcello" Vincent notified once we got to my house and immediately, I climbed out of the car with fury vibrating through my being.

I was going to turn around and go into the house the minute I stepped out of the car when suddenly, I saw ten men in suits and black shoes running towards my direction.

They were well dressed as guards for the prince of England and it made me look astonished.

I paused for a second as I tried taking in what was happening and understanding the situation.

I was going to send them away when out of the blue, my dad stepped out of the house which made me nervous but I had to still keep my pride intact to show him I wasn't as weak as he thought.

"I see you still wish to pester me even without remembering your promise to me" I dipped my hands into my pockets with pride and anger as I mentioned rudely at his sight.

He stood by my door in his white Italian suit and a cigar in his mouth. He didn't forget his walking stick which he tagged as a mark of respect for his late wife , my mother.

"Bring him in" My dad Ordered before turning back to go into the house.

"Don't touch me!!" I bellowed as my anger rose in me like a tide.

"We were ordered to do so sir" one of the guards responded with his face bowed to the ground.

Just then, I saw Vincent coming closer to me with a sad look on his face.

"You made him come here right?" I muttered to him as I felt bittered.

"I… I didn't expect..I " he stuttered making me mad at him even more.

"Fuck Vincent! How could you do such a thing? Why did you let him know I am here?" I yelled at him, taking my hands out of my pockets.

"Sir, we are waiting" Another guard said, making me more hacked off.

I instantly turned to him and with my hand landing on his face furiously, I warned him as well as others.

I was just sick and tired of hearing them speak to me without respect. I could have punched him but he belonged to my dad.

"No one!! Not even a soul should dare talk to me that way… do you all get that?" I bellowed with my eyes bulging out as I watched them nod in response to what I said to them.

I spun around and without looking at Vincent who had offended me, I went into the house , with fury growing inside of me like a tumour ready to kill.

The minute I entered my house, I saw my dad facing the window with his hands crossed on each other behind him.

"What do you want?" I questioned with a cold tone.

"You hit one of them I guess" He said the minute he heard my voice from behind with fury.

One could tell by just my presence that I was mad and burning with intense rage knowing that my dad was in my house.

I wasn't scared of him and I didn't like him. My dad and I have a history that I just can't forget in my lifetime.

"What are you doing here?" I inquired again, without looking at him.

"Why do you always make things so difficult for yourself , Marcello Mario? I am here with a clean heart and you know that right?" He revealed, making me wonder what sincere heart he had to be able to kill my mom before my eyes back then.

"A sincere heart you say? The same heart you used to do that to mom right?" I scoffed, halving a smile of displeasure on my lips.

"Will you shut up?? She did that to herself and not me. Do you get that?" He came closer to my face as he tried justifying his adulterous act.

"What are you doing here? What do you want from me?" I questioned again but this time, I had my eyes dipped into his without trembling.

"You've got no fear in you for your dad, Marcello" he said, making me feel irritated by His presence.

I took a step backwards so I wouldn't dare contact his wicked attitude.

"WHY… ARE… YOU .. HERE?" I spelt it out one after the order with each word being stressed. I awaited his flimsy response.

"Since you do not wish to cooperate with me, then I bet you are just going to be fine with the deal" he snickered the minute he ended his Statement which got me wondering what he meant by such.

"......."

"You are getting married to the daughter of Mr. Leo and I'm sure you know who he is right?, so getting married to his daughter should be a blessing to you and not a curse." He divulged without human conscience.

"What??? I get to run a company I never wanted right from the start and now, the daughter of nobody would be my wife?".

"I can't do it father, I will never marry her!" I declined hastily as I clenched my fingers on my dress, trying to master my anger.

He matched closer to my eyes and with an evil smile erupting from his lips, he whispered to my face.

"I never wanted you to get married to the daughter of somebody, Marcello….and this isn't a deal you can reject. You either accept it, or watch your brother take over and you know what that means…." He asserted with a pinch of threats before dashing out of the house without looking back at me.

He had already made up his mind and was going to force me to do it no matter what. He loved getting things done his way.

I halted in pain as I watched him exit my house. I wasn't going to marry her but then, my junior and illegitimate brother was going to take over the company.

The same company my mom struggled to build.

I heaved a sigh of frustration as I tried thinking straight.

If I was going to cancel the planned marriage without my dad being mad at me, then I needed something huge.

I couldn't marry anyone that wasn't Ava and that was final.
