Your Wife To Be Is Crippled.

Your Wife To- Be Is Crippled.

Marcello's POV.

Putting on my black suit with a white striped tie knotted around my neck, I sighed countless times in worry of what would happen to me next after returning from Ava's home.

"Am I really going to do this? Am I going to get married to a lady I know nothing about?" I spoke in an undertone as I sat at the right edge of my bed in my cosy room.

It was just so difficult for me to take in , to accept such a fact. Getting married to someone I knew by the narrowest of margin was never what I planned for myself in life.

Ava has always been there and although we've gone through a lot of hurtful things, I just never imagined getting acquainted with someone else.

Gripping my phone in my hand and staring at it persistently without being distracted, I wondered what life would be without my rude girlfriend, Ava.

I kept on watching closely at her picture that was on my phone and I couldn't help but let out an involuntary grin knowing what was coming our way.

In some way, I missed her but that wasn't going to stop me from making or taking full responsibilities for my company as the man.

I wouldn't want that so-called fool who calls himself my junior brother, come into the family out of the blue and become the heir to what I have hustle and bustle for all these years.

I heaved a soft sigh as I still kept my eyes on my phone, in my hand.

Scrutinising her picture with a rictus on my face, I immediately thought about the deal she had made with me when I broke the news to her.

The deal she had exhorted me to keep if I do not want my secrets to be known to the public.

Seeing that we've been together for so long, Ava was aware of everything that happened in my life and most of which could send me to the streets.

"Ava…" I muttered in a sad tone as her deal was stuck to my head.

****** Flash back*******

"I am getting married ,Ava and it is to save the company from going down to the rack." I informed with a frown on my face as I looked vacantly at her.

"You are kidding me right now right?" She tsk as she sat down on the ground with a disquieted expression on her face concerning my sudden union with an unknown lady.

"I don't know what I would say to make you believe me, Ava but that's the truth" I asserted and was going to dash out of her room when In a trice, she stopped me with her shocking statement.

"Do not spend your whole life with her, marry her but don't love her."

I halted instantly as I got a load of what she was saying to me.

"Loving her has never been my plan, Ava" I returned with a deep-tone.

"Then assure me you would divorce her after your company gets back to its position, it's net worth"

"If you do not do this, then be ready to get yourself back into the streets of Italy". She threatened with a cunning smirk on her lips.

I didn't accept it and I still couldn't decline it but deep down, I knew I was going to be in a huge mess if I missed a step.

I heaved a heavy sigh as the thought of her came into my mind incessantly . I got steamed up that she could bring to light my secrets at any little chance she gets.

"What have I gotten myself into?" I mumbled to myself as I turned to the window that was by my side.

"I need to end this madness of Ava before it gets out of hand" I mumbled to myself in worry of what she might do the next minute.

I was still trying to look for a way to silence her when suddenly, I was cut short by Vincent from behind.

"Sir…" he called out with a serious tone.

"I knew you would come so soon…" I groaned frustratingly.

"I'm sorry if…" he was going to apologise but I just wasn't in the right mood to hear him make an apology so I had to intrude politely.

"Is it ready?" I questioned, knowing that he was in my room for just one reason at that moment and not for his feigned apologies.

"Yes sir and we need to Leave to avoid missing your flight back to the UK" he divulged with a calm voice from behind.

"Prepare our rides then" I instructed reluctantly.

"That has already been done Sir. We need to leave before it gets too late" he uttered, which bent me out of shape.

I needed more time in Italy, I needed more time to myself before leaving to become a married man overnight.

"I'll be there in a minute" I curbed in the rage I felt that kept boiling up inside of me as I tightened my grip on my phone which was in my hand.

"I would love to wait here till you follow me out of the house Sir" Vincent insisted without thinking if I was his boss or not.

"I see you wish to question my order in all you do , Vincent." I turned to him as I said, gritting my teeth in fury.

I was only trying to hold in the anger and if care wasn't taken, I could hack off and cancel the flight and he knew that.

"Please Sir, it was your…." He tried saying…

"Yeah.. my dad's orders and I bet you will always obey my dad and not me" I scoffed before walking out on him.

As I climbed down the stairs, I could feel rage flowing through my veins but seething it was all that mattered to me at that moment.

If I was to explode, Vincent could get it hot from me and I was trying my best to avoid such from happening.

I got to the car faster than expected and climbed into it. My luggage was already in the car and here Vincent was, sitting on the driver's seat, ready to take me to the airport.

"Did Ava call my business line?" I asked, out of care for Ava.

We've been dating since high school and it's been a rollercoaster but now, breaking up to get married? I bet she never saw this coming her way that was why she was eager to make the deal with me.

"No sir.. but we could stop over at her place before we get to the airport" Vincent notified as he probably felt bad for me.

"It's fine, let's just get over this before dusk" I shook my head , taking my mind off Ava. If she didn't care about me that much, then I shouldn't do the same.

Vincent stepped on the throttle of the vehicle and within a few seconds, we were already out of the building or environment.

He drove at a high speed which was what I wanted. I needed something really snappy else, I could get hacked off and stop the journey to the airport.

If I was really going to get married, then I had to do it faster so I could divorce her and come back to Ava.

Although I wasn't sure she loved me, one thing was for sure, Ava was definitely going to adore me more than the new bride my dad had gotten for me.

"We are here Sir" Vincent announced before stepping out of the car to come help me with the door.

"Close it.." I Ordered, still not satisfied knowing that I was really leaving Italy for someone I knew nothing about.

"But Sir the plane ….."

I immediately glared at him from where I was sitting and without thinking twice, he had his trap hole shut before closing the door.

I just needed some time to think and that was something the airport or the business class couldn't give me.

I sat still with my eyes fixed on the seat that was before me as I felt a tear threaten to roll out of my eye.

Making Vincent know that I could be weak because of little things wasn't what I wanted. I immediately placed my hand on my eyes and wiped off the tears that had already rolled out.

I took in a deep breath so I could stay calm and after a few minutes, I was okay. I was ready to leave Italy for my arranged marriage.

"Vincent?" I called out with a deep voice as I turned to the door.

"Sir" he responded as he turned to the door where my voice was coming from.

"Open the door or do I have to tell you everything?" I blurted out as I ridiculed seeing how he had to wait for my orders before he made a move.

He instantly opened the door and I climbed out of the car with a frown on my face.

I had unbuttoned my suit jacket earlier so the split second I stepped my foot on the ground, I held my suit jacket in my hand as I buttoned it up.

"I'll get the luggage and follow you from behind" Vincent announced like It was my business.

"Do whatever you wish" I tsk as I headed for the airport with Vincent behind me.

Soon , we got to where our plane was boarding and although it looked stressful, I was still going to get through for sure.

It was a two hours and forty-three minutes trip to London precisely, UK and trust me, it was going to be the worst journey ever because I wasn't sure about who I was getting married to.

We boarded the plane and within the stipulated hours, we got to our destination without wasting time.

I felt shagged out but as usual, I couldn't show Vincent my weak side. Although I was always harsh towards him, he was still like a brother to me and I loved him and I never wished to bother him, not even a bit.

We were exiting the airport in the UK for my ride that was probably waiting for us at the entrance of the airport.

I was just so focused and deeply immersed with the decorations inside the airport without a smile on my face while I trudged towards the door when suddenly, a lady jolted me roughly.

"Fuck!!" I uttered suddenly with my hands gripping my right shoulder in pain.

My phone which was in my hand suddenly slipped out of my hand and fell to the ground , cracking its screen.

Before I could get her, she had already gone far without looking back. She looked like she was in a mess and needed to clean things up.

I could only stand at a spot watching her run like she had lost a soul in a hospital.

"Should I go after her?" Vincent asked, seeing that I was worried.

"No… I'll try to understand her reasons and you know I don't wish to have anything to do with ladies other than Ava" I dipped my hands into my pockets as I said to him.

"Just get the phone and toss it away.. I don't need it" I darted my gaze from the run away lady before going closer to the gateway.

I needed to get to the car before my dad called and I was already running late.

"Sir Marcello!!!" I heard my name from the east side the minute I exited the airport.

Turning to the east immediately at the sound of my name, I saw Mr. Sam Jones.

He has been my dad's driver in the UK and I wasn't surprised that my dad had sent him to come pick me up from the airport.

'I bet dad has something Installed for me this time' I halved a smile as I went closer to where the car was stationed.

He opened the door as he should have and I mounted the car, waiting for him to drive me home but something else just as I imagined came up when we left the airport.

"Why aren't we going to the house?" I questioned with a perplexed stare at him while he was driving without turning back.

"Mr. Sam… I'm asking you, why aren't we heading home? Why are we taking this route when you know it's a seemingly endless journey back home?" I cross-questioned but still got no response from Mr. Sam which made me more angry.

"Sir Sam why are…." Vincent was going to ask on my behalf when within a flash, his phone rang out, interrupting his question to Mr. Sam.

"Hello" he started the minute he picked up the call, positioning it on his ear.

Within a few seconds, he ended the call and from the look of things, the way his facial expression had changed, I was sure it was my dad.

He had this planned out just as I thought he would.

"What did he say?" I posed looking at Vincent who turned to me with a shocking look on his face.

"We…"

He was going to announce but Mr. Sam abruptly took his words off his lips.

"We are heading to Mr. Leo's house to see your bride-to- be. Your dad wants you to have your first meeting with her before seeing her at the altar" he divulged without making or missing any important information.

"That's more like him.. I'll go see her if that's what he wants" I responded knowing that I have always been curious since he told me I was going to get married to someone I barely knew.

Vincent turned to look at me and I bet he was surprised seeing me say I would go comfortably.

"What?" I asked, seeing that he just wasn't going to take his gaze off me no matter what.

"You must be really excited," he smiled cheerfully, seeing how calm I was talking to Mr. Sam.

At first, I was thinking he was just glad to know I would want to see my bride but he just spoke formally to me like a normal individual to say that something was wrong.

There was more to this visit that I just didn't know about.

"Is there something you aren't telling me? Why do you look like you just saw a clown close to me?" I uttered as I requested for a response from Vincent.

"I don't know how to say this or how to put it but….." he paused for a second, chuckling , making me look like a fool.

I could only sit and watch him make me seem idiotic before Mr. Sam who had already begun to laugh at me too .

"Speak" I ordered with a deep voice.

"She's Crippled, Marc.. your to be Bride is a crippled lady who is just looking for a man to make her feel satisfied in bed" Vincent revealed pulling me off balance.

"What?? What did you just say? She is what?" I argued with my eyes bulging out as I wasn't relaxed on my seat anymore.

"That's what everyone says, I'm surprised you do not know about it, Marc…"

"I'm getting Married to a crippled bride??" I muttered as I questioned in disappointment as my heart raced.
