Chapter 39.1

Two days later, Madison went back to work at the hospital. The first few hours didn’t become easy for her as her co-workers and other people are avoiding her. Some patients are declining to be treated by her.

“No! Give me another doctor! I don’t want this monster touching me!” yelled by one of the patients. Another doctor came to check the patients. Doctor Kevin approached Madison and tapped her on the shoulders.

“Madison, I think you should take some rest first. Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it.”

Madison walked away and went to the lounge area. As soon as she closed the door, she leans on it and burst out crying. She walked to the sofa and cried. She felt helpless about the situation. Although, she understands their reaction but she can’t avoid feeling sad and discouraged. After few minutes, the door opened and Madison quickly wiped her tears. She looks up and saw the new CEO of the hospital. She stands up and greeted him.
