Penulis: The Fierce Lady

Chapter 1 Encounter

Izzy Pov...

Breaking up with Jonathan wasn't my dream, but the least I could do to make myself worth it. Actually, I didn't want to break up with him, but accidentally learned I wasn't in his heart. The worse I am his number three.

That's what a jerk he is.

It is pathetic enough to stay in a relationship that isn't working on what you plan. I loved him, but loving someone isn't enough to survive in this chaotic world. It just pains me inside to know how I wasted 4 years of my life with him. Sipping my drink awkwardly before closing my eyes, feeling how miserable I am right now.

My family also treated me as the second best, and then later I learned I was adopted.

My life sucked since I was born. Yeah! I got a degree, but who cares if no one cares about you? I laughed amicably, pretending I wasn't pitiful breaking into pieces inside me. This world has a lot to throw into you, but I am already tired of trying to please anybody.

I sighed deeply lowering my head and smiling like a fool!

Letting my tears fall as I gulped my drink. Knocking on my senses laughing lightly shaking my ugly thoughts.

Izzy, it's not worth it to shed any tears, he is someone you should dump into your trashbin to be shredded. I muttered to myself when someone greeted me, interrupting my reverie.

"Hi!" He greeted. I wiped my tears quickly before facing him, but I was stunned to see a beautiful creature approaching me. This is the first time a handsome man has approached me first.

"Hi, handsome!" I glistened, returning the favor smiling at him even though my heart had shuttered a while ago.

"I'm sorry miss! I am not a stalker. Just saw you at the corner alone drinking. You know a beautiful woman like you shouldn't be alone drinking. Don't you think?" He gestured, smiling. I laughed, chuckling at how cute he was. How I wish what he said was right!

Amicably returned the favor before responding, "This is the first time a handsome man has approached me and shown some interest!" I replied, assuming already. He laughed, showing his beautiful dimples and perfect white teeth. It's a captivating smile!

"Oh! You don't have to flatter me. You are a gracious, gorgeous woman. Even with the dim light, your beauty illuminates. I've seen a lot but you are one of a kind in the crowd!" He gestured again, laughing. I don't know if he is just flirting or stating the fact, but I let it slide since it's the first time someone notices my existence and complimented me. Now, I understand why they say the first time is always the best. I got butterflies in my stomach and the fact that he was handsome is a plus one.

"I am not! Anyway, I am Izzy, and are you?" I introduced myself.

"Lovely! I am Fabian. Nice meeting someone lovely like you in this unexpected place." He replied, offering his soft beautiful hands. I grabbed it but a tingling sensation spiked. We looked at each other smiling. I tried to mask myself by not being affected by it.

"Lovely meeting you too, Fabian." I smiled sweetly even if the sting was still jerking my veins like a voltage.

"Now that we already know each other. Should we talk about something else to fill in this void night?" He suggested ordering a lady's drink for me. Interesting! Some other guys will order hard drinks to make me drunk, but he is different. I am starting to like him now. Don't Izzy! It's always painful to like someone who is fucking perfect and gorgeous.

"Sure! So, what brings a handsome guy like you into this place alone? I don't think this place fits you." I started, but he laughed sexily. Oh, fuck it! I cursed to myself silently.

"Classic Izzy. I know I just met you, but telling my stories maybe can help, right? And the perfect night is still young!" He asked, trying to mask his pain, but still evident in his eyes.

"I'm sorry about that. You know, coming here was the least I could do to fill my empty heart and broken soul." I started to make him comfortable.

"Oh! That's a lot. Well, don't be sorry Izzy. I am here the same as your reasons are." He replied, gulping his drink before ordering another bottle. I didn't know a handsome man like him had problems.

"Wow! Pitiful people collided. It's a shame! You are lucky you are handsome. You don't look pitiful." I chimed, sipping on my drinks. He laughed again. Why does this man look sexy even when he laughs and talks? It's a shame he is alone, broken and lonely.

"Then it's useless being handsome." He grinned, licking his lips. Is he nervous or seducing the innocent me?

"I don't think so, Fabian. At least you have a good disguise." I replied, looking at the bartender busy doing his work, not minding us chatting like an idiot because of cheaters.

"Yeah! Maybe, if cheated will make it the best cover, then be it!" I was stunned, staring at him.

"Really! I thought pretty people wouldn't be cheated. My boyfriend cheated on me too, being his number three." I exclaimed. I'm startled when he taps the table and laughs. Damn! Now, I find him sexily gorgeous even more. One strike and I am drooling over him.

"Beautiful! Izzy, I don't think your boyfriend is a human. How could he have numbered his women? That's lame! It's insane though. You are perfectly stunning and a head turner Izzy!" He squeaked, unbelievable. If I'm not broken I might be jumping in happiness as butterflies clouding my visions but I'm still repairing my broken heart and soul.

"Yeah! That's why I broke up with him. I had plans and dreams for my future. Having an immature man isn't part of it." I grinned as well.

"At least you got ahead of you than mine." He uttered, faking a smile, surprising me, but I didn't feel like pushing the next question. I feel like a lump is stuck in my throat.

"I'm sorry." The only thing left on the tip of my tongue.

"You don't have to, Izzy!" He immediately replied. I just stared at him. How I wish I had met you sooner. Then we are not here cheering on our misfortune, but that's what life is. We can't just walk in this world heads up high without battling inside ourselves. Every success has a misfortune. Every misfortune is a lesson learned to survive. Every survival is a beautiful beginning.

" Some things happen in life when we least expect them. I'm glad I can talk freely with you. I am not a person who shares my misfortune with others. I guess maybe because we are on the same boat." He added, sipping his beer again before glancing at me. Maybe. I guess so, Fabian, but it seems what you had is more terrifying than mine.

" I'm also glad you were here. I almost forgot what pain is. You make me smile and laugh and that's what matters." I chimed, which is true. I forgot everything because of him. Being alone doesn't help people who are in pain. He smiled, clicking his bottle at my glass.

"Cheers Izzy!" He ignited our glasses. The clicking of our glasses doesn't help as I can feel he is more troubled than mine. How I wish I could help him.
