Chapter 13
Detective Claire intensified her search for the eccentric appearing at her crime scenes. This stranger happened to be Daniel. He was her number one suspect in the murders of her father and Elizabeth. Besides circulating his delineation around every precinct in the city, she made sure that her team was up to the task as well. After reporting for work, Michael gathered the team for a briefing and quick overview of the search headway.
As usual, the captain commenced the briefing, “how far are we on finding our suspect? Any leads?” he asked.
Claire, the lead detective gave a report, “we have managed to inform and circulate his picture to every precinct in the city and we expect their full support,” she summarized.
“Do they know what they are dealing with exactly?” Michael, the captain continued.
“All they know right now is that, the suspect is highly evasive, skilled and extremely dangerous,” Johnson explained.

It had just stopped raining outside. The dusky heavy clouds were clearing from the murky sky. The moon could be seen slightly. Very little light came through the tight spaces between the clouds though. The streetlights and the vehicle headlights gave the night a delightful radiance. The night seemed promising and full of life. Adams, a mythology professor at Kibich University was home. He was busy doing some research for his next class the following morning. On his desk was a half-full glass of wine, several ancient history books and a powered-on laptop. The T.V. was on but without volume. The stereo played some soft cool classical music famously known to enhance creativity and high concentration.
