CHAPTER SIXTEEN.

Mateo led the rogues back to their hideout in the woods. They destroyed quite a number of properties and killed a few humans, the ones that were unfortunate.

The police tried their best, but not one of the rogues was hurt. They managed the situation well, trying to reassure the individuals all was fine, and that there was no cause for alarm. This time people were not falling for lies.

Everyone knew they were wolves on loose, attacking the city.

Megan didn't return him that night. The next morning she stood in her father's living room, being interrogated.

She had never seen her father so furious, so dark. There was something in his eyes, something that was akin to hatred. Her mother, on the other hand, was calm and collected.

"Where were you last night?" Her mother questioned. "Out destroying the city?"

"They killed five people last night! Five!" Trainor jumped to his feet in frustration. "You are evil and wicked. You don't deserve to be alive."
