CHAPTER NINE.

After spending the afternoon on phone calls about advertising opportunities for Ocean Academy, and catching up with Dr. Matt, Trainor leaned back in his chair, exhausted.

He raised his arms over his head and stretched backwards, feeling the pull on his cramped muscles. Drumming his fingers against the desk, he buried his mind in thoughts.

Just then Megan barged into his office.

"Listen, Dad, you can't do that," Megan said. "No, you can't."

"Get out of my office." Trainor pointed towards the door.

"I will not let you mistreat mom."

Trainor reminded himself that he cared about his daughter and family, and certainly didn't want to hurt their feelings, but he needed some alone time.

"Do you want me to make a flashy scene?" She asked him. "I didn't create myself, neither was I born with this curse, you let it happen. It is because of you that I am the way I am! I was the tool for revenge for everything you did to them. Why wouldn't you just let them be? Why were you
