Staying at Chris’s house was tough, so I rented an apartment as soon as I could. The apartment was fully furnished and it didn't come cheap, but it was cheaper than I thought it could be. It was like a steal. I also got new clothes because I wasn't ready to see James or Marina in that house. Not when I hated James at the moment.

It was the day of Shawn’s welcome party and as I applied my makeup in the mirror, the thought of meeting the Lawyer and filing a divorce from the man I've loved for all these years felt like the hardest thing I could ever do. I never imagined that I would have to let go of him, my husband, but he already made it clear that it was nothing to him.
