CHAPTER 76

Alex finally opened her eyes and stared at herself in the mirror, standing up.

After taking off from the scene where she was ambushed by Saood’s men, she went to one place, which she only knows. A small house outside the city that she bought with cash from the money she had saved over her years of service.

She turned on the tap and reached for the towel, hanging on the wall and let it soak with water. Carefully, she started to take off her clothes, breathing heavily at the pain she is feeling in her body. She finally resorted to cutting the fabric with the scissors she found in the drawer. She glanced when her phone on the counter rang and saw Damon calling.

She ignored it.

“Alex, promise me one thing if it ever gets to a drastic situation,” Julia told her one time when they were having a break. “If ever my life will be ended, do it with your bullet. I don’t want theirs. I’d rather die from yours.”

“That’s not going to happen, Jul,” Alex argued lightly. “We’re not going to die early.
