Chapter Thirtyseven

"Dad?" I slide down from Onyx's back to face my father. My heart is pounding in my chest not knowing his next move. Is going to take me back? Or is he going to kill my mate and Hunter? Or both?

"You seem a little surprised to see me?" He says with a smile on his face. Onyx growls and shows his teeth, making my father laugh harder.

"Ooooh," He says laughing in Onyx's face.

" Do you think I am afraid of you? Ha, look around you, Axel! LOOK! You are outnumbered."

Onyx growled again and I could feel his and Axel's rage through the bond. I quickly go to stand in between them before they rip each other's heads off.

" What do you want dad? I thought you said" I stumble over my words. He said he loved me and now he is laughing at my face. A feeling of betrayal runs over me, it makes me feel sick to my stomach.

"I meant what I said, Kristy." He says turning all his attention towards me.

"But really Kristy, not once you have stopped to think to yourself it was a little too easy to get away? Do
