“What…”

“Shh.” He shushed me, those dark eyes piercing into my soul.

My heart raced as I struggled to comprehend what just happened. The arm that had forcefully pulled me belonged to none other than Alpha Rick, the very person I had been desperately trying to avoid. Shock reverberated through my veins as I stood frozen, and terrified at the same time.

"What... what are you doing?" I managed to stammer, my voice trembling with fear.

He regarded me with an unreadable expression before replying calmly, "Funny, I was just about to ask you the same thing."
