Chapter 5

Bailey's Point of View

After I bid uncle Grey bye, I walked back to my class and tried to think of what he had said.

I wouldn't let anyone or anything they would say get to me.

Heading to the classroom, the chemistry teacher Mr. Dave was there already. For sure he's going to be mad at me because I was late.

"Bailey. You're never late to class. Why are you late today?" He asked and I swallowed down.

"I'm sorry Mr. Dave. I was having an urgent conversation with the Alpha." I explained. I hated using Uncle's name to get out of trouble but I just had to do it because he was the reason why I was late for the class.

I could see the eyes on me and I hated it. Why were they fixed on me?

He rolled his eyes and permitted me to walk in with the rolling of his hands. I did so and walked to the back of the class to get a seat since all the front seats were already taken.

Taking a seat, I took my books out and turned to my left to see Miguel staring at me.

How did I not see him as I walked in?

"Hey." The side of his lips gestured as he looked at me. I didn't try to look at him after that. I just turned to my book and never looked at him again.

Chemistry class was over and I had another class. I did hope Miguel didn't have the same class schedule as me because I wouldn't like to see him.

He made everyone call me such a silly name and didn't even dare to tell them to stop.

The next class we had was biology class and for goodness sake, I and Miguel had the same class. It seemed that we had the same schedule.

I bit my pen as I waited for the class to be over so I could get the hell out of there and head to the cafeteria because I was super hungry.

The bell rang and I closed my books and waited for the last words of the English teacher.

"That's all for today, class." She tipped off, and the moment she said that everyone grumbled, picked their things and started walking out. I didn't want any crowding or side talks so I waited for everyone to leave before I stood up.

Standing up with my books in my hand I walked further but I hit a Werewolf wall.

Looking ahead it was Miguel In front of me.

Oh jeez, what did he want now? Did he want to make me do what he wanted again? This time I wouldn't listen no matter how much he pressurized me.

"Hey, Bailey." He waved at me.

"What do you want this time Miguel? You want to pull me out and make them call me names?" I asked. I didn't want to give him the chance to breathe.

"That was not my intention Bailey. I just wanted to” I cut him off.

"You wanted to do what?" I noticed I was raising my voice because I was very angry. I was getting emotional and it was all because of him.

"You made me go into the assembly hall when I didn't want to. You held my hands when I tried to pull them away and when they started talking and saying mean things about me you kept shut. It was all your fault, Miguel. I was fine hiding in the bathroom." I yelled. I could feel myself getting all worked up. Darcy didn't like this one bit. She wanted to attack.

"I'm sorry Bailey. It wasn't part of my plan. I didn't know they would call you names." I paused and pushed back what I wanted to say.

"You had a plan?" I questioned.

"I just don't like it when they bully you, Bailey. I don't like the way you let them talk to you in such a way. I just want them to know that you can fight back, it was all intended." He explained as he widened his hands.

"I like the way I am Miguel." My eyes softened. He was only wanting  to help me out of their bullying.

I continued what I  was saying. "I like the way I am Miguel. You cannot change it. I get you were trying to help me but please stop." I pushed more words to him.

"You cannot just walk into my life and want to change it all of a sudden."

"I didn't plan that." His thick voice echoed. I looked into his eyes and I saw that he was sincere but I needed an apology, not his cute eyes.

"I'm sorry Bailey. It wasn't what I intended." He  apologised  like he had read my mind, his eyes showing a lot of remorse.

"I forgive you, Miguel." That was all I had to say. Who would have known the hottest boy in school would want good for me? He wanted to support me.

He got tired of seeing them bully me. I lowered my head as I looked at my book and began walking out.

"Bailey." He stopped me halfway.

Not again! I didn't stop, instead I kept moving, surprisingly he was in front of me.

Yeah! Werewolf speed.

"Let me show you how sorry I am." He said and I looked at him.

"I know you're sorry, it's okay."

"No, let me." He pressed further.

"It's okay Miguel." I sighed and wanted to walk away.

"Dinner date? Would you like to go on a dinner date with me?" Miguel's hand was cold as he touched me. I looked at his hand holding a grip of my arm and I gasped softly.

Miguel, take me out on a date? What a joke!

What the hell was happening?

Miguel has never spoken to me since the day he transferred to this school so why does he want to help me now. What does he want to say to me now?

"Bailey," he called softly.

"Huh?"

"Dinner date?" He asked.

"I'm not sure about that Miguel. I might be busy.

"I'll come to pick you up at the pack house this evening by 6." He smiled at me and before I could say another word, he walked out.

"What's the actual fuck?"

I never said yes.
