Shattered Moonlight Dreams

Riding back in the Ferrari with Alpha Zach, silence lingered. I wish there was some noise, I really did. Even if that was just going to be a soft hum from the radio, I’d prefer that. But nothing.

I felt watched even though he was focused on the road.

“I am…I am so very sorry for what I have put you through,” I broke the quiet.

His words made a dent in my heart, stinging like salt on a wound. “Yeah, I know,” I replied softly as I stared at my hands, tears forming in my eyes.

“But I feel like meeting you was destiny, or whatever sappy sh*t that those romantics be saying,” He continued, putting his focus back on the road. “Damn, I can’t believe that I just spent six-million dollars on an omega that I can’t even have in my bed.”
