ARIANA'S POV

I faked a smile as a crowd, whose eyes were still fixed on me and Brian. Afterwards, he put down my heart, and my eyes went to Lucas again, and I could totally see anger pulsing through his veins.

"This is just the beginning. I will make sure you pay for what you did to me and Brian. I'm never going to spare you because you really don't deserve it," I murmured under my breath as I finally turned my glances from him.

I finally left the spot to join the little party going on, with Brian who was beside me. And I figured it was time for me to tell him about Lucas' next plans.

"You better start telling me how you intend to secure me the throne," Brian turned to me, noticing we were the only ones there at the table while others were busy doing their business.

"First, let me start by telling you what is going to happen tonight." I took up a glass of wine from the table, and took just a sip to soothe my throat before putting it back.
