Ashley/Olivia's POV

I could not sleep. I was roaming about my room. I was also aware that Eloise was staying behind because Lance asked her to. I was getting consumed by anger and hate and it was as if the hate was going to spread to the people in my present life, Eloise and Lance but I didn't want that.

I let Lola take reign and she kept howling through the night. The sound from her howling was like a male wolf who had been deprived of access to his mate. It wasn't feminine at all. This was the first time I heard Lola cry out in so much pain. I guess she could not take it anymore. She had been the one encouraging me and providing me with comfort but she had broken down from her own hurt. I wished I could help her but I could not.
