Tyler I heard pounding at the door and I rustled out of bed, meeting the shades of the sunlight that poured into my room through the half-opened curtains. The alarm clock on my nightstand goes off by four thirty every morning. Was there another attack? Was it my father? Logan gave me a heads up that I'd be leaving the pack territory with Aiden today. I didn't know where we were going because I wasn't interested in the details. I was busy wallowing in self-loathe. Saying that I hated what I did to Jax was an understatement. Frey They are supposed to be back by now. No phone calls. No messages. Nothing! I served the kids breakfast, and they demolished the food. It was resumption day and I woke up earlier than usual. Once they'd finished their meal, I drove them to school by 8 am and returned to the pack house after dropping them off. Aiden and his colleagues hadn't returned from their trip and we were worried. Yesterday, Logan and Keaton spent their day taking care of the shipping that arrived at the pack. He'd agreed with the workers that they were going to resume work in a week and all hands must be on deck. I spent most of the day finishing off the paperwork that these kids required for their academic pursuit. LoganI woke up this morning only to discover that former Beta Pierson had gathered some of the wolf bloods with someone I wasn't expecting at all. She had promised me she'd leave the pack after I revealed I'd couldn't feel the mate bond — Jacinthe. She was back in the pack. Did she change her mind? FreyI gasped when Pierson pulled a dagger from his hidden holster and aimed for my mate's throat, but Logan was fast enough to seize him and get rid of the blade from his hands. The entire crowd gasped when he slammed the dagger into his ribs, falling silent as Pierson lost his balance and slumped into the arena, which was covered in his blood. Logan walked out of the coliseum and the healers ran in, dragging him out of the gory scene. It was Jacinthe and I next and from the resolute look on her face; she was ready to unleash hell on me. ~I released a sigh and wiped off the sweat that broke from my scalp, taking my fighting stance. Keaton signaled the beginning of the combat, and she screamed in rage as she towards me, swinging her legs and aiming for my skull. I ducked and watched as her legs moved over my face, missing by an inch. I regained my footing quickly and moved behind her, kneeing her on the back and sending her forward. She stumbled down and fell face flat on the sand.

FreyMy wedding's today. We had fixed our wedding date and sent out the invitation cards to the wolf bloods of the Night Shade Pack. Shannon distributed the invites to the houses of the wolves using a spell which left the cards on their front porch. I was still recovering from what happened at the arena, and I spent a lot of time with the kids, helping them with their homework. My mother's banishment from the pack left my father devastated by her sudden exit. She even cut ties with him, but I figured out that my old man knew he'd lost his wife and fated mate a long time ago. Knowing that this would affect his work energy, I asked for a day off from work and spent the last three days with him.
