Ariel POV

To cut the long story short, I went to bed yesterday hungry, after I made their bed. I didn't have enough sleep all through the night, since my stomach couldn't stop making noise. I thought I won't last the night, but glory be to God, I woke up this morning, breathing fine, although my body was weak and I felt like I was going to die.

My phone beeped while I was still on the bed, and I lazily reached out for it, swiping the unlock button to see that it was a message from Amy.

'Good morning, sis. Did you sleep well? Working as a maid would be very tiring for you, so I decided to send you a text since you must be busy sleeping after a long day of work. I'm sorry you are going through all these hard times just to put me through. May the good God guide and protect you over there. I love you, sis' I smiled after I read her text, feeling a tinge of hope, and the reason to be strong and keep pushing.
