Chapter 18

“Mommy!” A five-year-old little girl ran towards Via as soon as she stepped out of her car. She carried the child and kissed her cheeks before she turned to the five-year-old boy who was slowly walking towards her.

“You don’t have to run to greet mommy, Jaydee.” The boy rolled her eyes before he held Via’s hand.

“Did you both have fun today?” Via asked the twins as they walked towards the car.

“Yes!” Jaydee answered.

The boy, Kaydee, shook his head. “It’s not as fun as when we are with you, Mommy.”

Via laughed at her son’s response. Even though she could only spend a limited time with her children, she was relieved that she was able to raise them well.

Almost six years had passed since she went to the US and she had lived well since then. The beginning was a little hard since she had to adjust to everything but it got better as she got accustomed to the environment. Her neighbors were also nice towards her even though she was a single mom raising her energetic twins.
