Chapter 101 Let's Get Married Tomorrow

Blue’s POV

I received a death threat from Laura the next day. She’s so furious about what happened. She’s blaming me for Logan’s betrayal and accusing me of seducing him. I want to laugh at her reaction but I know better that she’ll plot revenge. She would do everything to ruin me and I opt not to underestimate her again. Laura is a smart woman. I have already proven that. She’s blinded by anger and envy, so she’ll do whatever it takes to bring me down. She’s just so unlucky that Logan happened to be my brother.

“Don’t think too much.” Nicholas’ voice woke me up from my reverie. I smiled as he sat beside me and handed me a cup of coffee.

“Thanks,” I said and looked at the night sky. We’re on the roof deck. I’m watching the starless sky. It seemed so calm and kinda making me nervous. There’s a rainbow after the rain, they say. But after a calm night, there’s a storm.

“Laura can never hurt you again, Blue. I promise to protect you with all my heart and at the expense of my life.”
