Chapter Seventy-One

Shannon’s POV

My feet tapped the ground continuously almost like it had a mind of its own as my mind continued to race, willing a mix of random unimportant things to fill it out with, that being the only thing I could do to keep it from venturing into dangerous territory, the memory of that altercation felt like it'd been burned into my thoughts. A memory as fresh as the wound was. It wasn’t going to heal now or soon, I could already feel it in my bones and there was nothing I could do about it.
