-Anastasia- Roman’s idea was not bad… Oh, who was I kidding? It was brilliant. We could gather all the wolves and lycans again, and while I knew for certain that it was lycans who had done this, Roman wanted to be certain we didn’t rule out anyone. -Anastasia- I wasn’t sure how I would survive another party, but if this was my ticket to get the answers I needed, I would simply have to suck it up. Roman didn’t seem very worried, but he was also better at these things than me. He was trained to be king and entertain. I was just… well, me. I had never been trained for these things. I had never been trained to be luna. While I technically was my father’s only heir now, since Dean and everyone else were dead, I had nothing to inherit but ruins. All the members were dead. There was no reason to train me or tell me how to lead a pack. Jackson would take over for his parents, and really, I had no interest in leading. -Roman- I woke up the next morning, finding my mate in my arms. Goddess, I knew it had only been a few days, but having her there was just amazing. I couldn’t get used to it, and yet I loved it so much. It felt perfect. It felt right to wake up with her beside me. Ana was sleeping soundly and wearing my t-shirt again. Goddess, she was not allowed to wear anything else to bed, unless she chose to try out those outfits her aunt had packed for her. Yes, we would get to those, but except for that, this was what she slept in. Those sexy outfits of hers probably wouldn’t survive my treatment anyway, or would just end up on the floor, anyway. -Roman- “That really was an awful shot,” I told my mate as she stood leaning over a pool table. After our long walk, we had gone back, poured ourselves some drinks and then we had decided to play a game of pool. Ana had no talent for it, though. I believed she had never played, despite knowing the rules somewhat. “I never said I was a pro,” she said and looked at me, annoyed. “Sore loser?” “Annoyed loser,” she said. I chuckled, and shook my head a little, before I leaned over the table and made an excellent shot, which just made her roll her eyes. I was not going to go easy on her. She had to learn the hard way, and I was close to winning. I just needed to get the black eight ball down into one of the holes as well. I smiled at her before I took the shot, but then she blocked the hole with her hand. Our eyes locked, and she smiled mischievously at me. -Roman- I watched my mate watching herself in the mirror. She was wearing a beautiful dark purple dress tonight, which fit her so well. I could see how nervous she looked, though. She had not even noticed me yet, even if I was standing in her line of sight. She could see me in the mirror, but Ana was too focused on how nervous she was about tonight. There was nothing to be nervous about. She was my queen and soon everyone would see her as their queen as well. I smiled, feeling such happiness swirl around inside of me just watching her. This was the power of having a mate. A mate you loved and who I had loved with my body over and over after I had her the first time. We had barely left the bed that day, and only rested to eat a little before it continued. We couldn’t get enough of each other.
