Patrick stood with his hands in his pants pocket. He looked expressionless but that doesn't hide his sadness from being noticed.   He stared at Kate. He was quiet, this is the woman who has plunged him into the present sorrow he was experiencing.   He loved her deeply and she treated his love with hate and rejection.
