10 Years back
Some arguments of a man and a woman could be heard from a room of the little apartment.
"I want a divorce from you. I just do not want to be your wife and live a life like this anymore. I just want to go. Why do not you understand? Are you dumb or something??” the woman uttered furiously more like shouting.
"I love you. Please do not do this to me. If not for me, at least think about Ehan. He needs both of us. Please do not do this. I promise you that I will work die hard from now and make sure to get back to our earlier days. I will fulfill your every demand. I will make our business a success again. Just give me a little more time. Please?" the man said more like pleading.
"No. Nothing is left between us. I love Aman now and I am going to marry him." the woman spoke up with a cold face.
The man got silent as he stared at his wife, the person he was living with for 15 years. She looked like a stranger to him now and he understood no matter how hard he tries, it is not going to work on his wife as she had already made her mind to live a king size life which he failed to give her after his business got down.
“I am going. I want you to send me the divorce papers in two days otherwise, I will have to go to the court by myself.”, saying this, the woman made her way to her packed bags.
The door of the room got opened and a lady in her mid-thirties came out with her bag behind pulling behind.
Indeed, she was beautiful but the coldness on her face was making her look ugly. She did not even try to meet her child for the last time. She just left in a black Mercedes which was already waiting for her.
Ehan, a young boy of 13 years was standing right beside the room witnessing everything since the day first.
He witnessed their happy family shattering little by little because of his own mother and that billionaire man, named Aman.
He had witnessed his father begging to his mother to stay with him since the last month. He had witnessed his mother becoming so cold-hearted and at last today he witnessed his mother dragging her bag away without even casting a single glance at him for the last time.
He forwarded towards his father's room as soon as his mother left and found him sitting on the floor in the middle of the room in a miserable condition.
He ran towards his father and hugged him. His father hugged him back immediately. Both of them were crying. A 13 year old boy was comforting his father.
He was also hurt but even at such a young age he knew how to control his emotions. He knew it that from now they were on their own and from the deep of his heart he was hating, not his mother only rather the species called woman already...
Present Time
In a small town
It was past midnight. A girl of her early twenties was so lost in her studies that she did not even get to know when her parents entered her room.
Getting near, her parents sat on the bed. Looking at her, contented smiles crept on her parents’ faces.
Her father spoke up then while caressing her hair, “Ira?”
The girl immediately looked up at them getting all startled and got uttering while giving them a confused look, “Dad..Mom, you here? This time? Why did you not sleep yet! What is the matter? Anything wrong? Are you sick or something? Should I call the doctor?”
She was about to get up but her father spoke up, “Relax, sweetie. We are okay. Nothing is wrong.”
She looked at them and uttered again, “Then why are you awake till now? Do you have any idea what time is it? It is not good for your health to keep awaking till this late. Do not you know the proverb”
Her mother spoke up interrupting her in between while letting out a sigh, “Will you listen to us for some moments, Naira? Why do you always go on like a chatterbox?”
The girl pouted innocently and looked at her father to have some support like always.
Her father spoke up then as he turned to her mother, “Why are you always like this to my daughter!”
Hearing her father, she smiled heartily. Then looking back to the girl, her father spoke up again smilingly, “Sweetie, we need to go out tomorrow to do some important work and will be back before evening time. After coming back from college, you have your lunch properly, okay Ira?”
While nodding at him, she asked him, “Okay but what is this all about Dad and where are you going by the way? That even you two together and leaving me alone!”
Her father spoke up after sparing a glance to his wife, “Look at this girl! What are you talking about, Ira? Sweetie, we are not going anywhere leaving you alone or something! We just have some work in town, dear.”
Naira nodded at him thoughtfully and he kissed her on the top of her head.
Her mother then came forward and following her husband, she also did the same.
Kissing Naira on her forehead, she spoke up, “It is not like it is late of the night for us only. You should also sleep now.”
Naira spoke up smilingly at them, “I am almost done, Mom. I will go to bed soon. You two go and sleep now. Good night.”
After saying, “Good night, darling.”, her parents forwarded to leave only to get stopped midway. They turned to Naira again for once and they did not know why but they felt like their eyes were getting teary as they left the room.
Next Day
It was a sort of bright sunny day but in the afternoon time, a gentle breeze started blowing making the atmosphere all cool and peaceful.
Naira, the same beautiful young girl from last night was coming back from her college while gossiping smilingly with her friends.
Standing at the entrance of her home, she announced her presence loudly, “I am home.”
But when she got no response like as usual, she entered the house with a frowning face as she continued calling, “Mom? Dad? Where are you?”
She checked all around the house but no one came to her sight. She got thinking, “Where did they go? That even without telling me!”
Then she remembered her parents coming to her room last night when she was so busy with her studies.
But she forgot it all and when she tried to recall it, she remembered....
Getting freshen up, she took her lunch and then kept waiting for her parents to come back.
She remembered her father saying that they would be back before evening but it was already past evening long back and there was no sight of them coming back.
An unknown fear and tension occupied Naira’s heart. She was restlessly walking in the yard of their house. She had an exam tomorrow and she was known to become a bookworm at the time of exams.
But today she could not make her even to think of studying at all. All she just wanted to see her parents entering the house safe and sound.
What she did not know was that it was too late for that to happen already.
The bus on which her parents were, got into an accident and they had already made their way to the place from where there was no way for them to come back to their loving daughter who was waiting for them desperately.
It was like they already knew this would happen and last night they were saying their final goodbye to Naira.
When it was almost 10 at night, a middle aged man entered the house, and Naira got uttering immediately, “Dad, what took you so long to” only to get stopped as she understood it was not her father.
The man spoke up then, “Naira, dear you need to come with me to the hospital.”
Leaving the worst imagination aside forcefully, Naira spoke up, “Why uncle? Anyways I can't go out now. Dad and Mom will be back any moment. If they do not get to see me here, they will get worried too much.”
That man tried to make Naira understand, “Naira, please dear. Be strong. They are not coming back here. Let’s go to the hospital. They are”
Interrupting him, Naira spoke up, “Have you gone crazy! I will not go anywhere. Dad said they will be back. He always keeps his promises. They will definitely come back to me.”
The man took Naira with him after trying for a while. All the way Naira just kept saying, “It can’t be true. It is just a misunderstanding. They can't leave me alone like this. They just can’t.”
When he reached the hospital with Naira, some of the other people from Naira’s neighbors were also there. Seeing Naira, their faces turned sadder. Some of them followed Naira as she got inside the hospital building.
The doctor directed them the way where two bodies were lying lifelessly being fully covered with the white color of clothing. The doctor removed the clothing from their faces to make Naira see them only to get her frozen there in her place........

Nodding at him smilingly, Naira forwarded towards her room and Zohan opened the door only to find Ehan standing at the entrance. Seeing Ehan, Zohan spoke up smilingly, "Ehan? How are you, son? Come inside." Nodding at him, Ehan entered the house and uttered, "All good, uncle. Is Akash home, uncle?" Zohan spoke up after casting a glance at Akash's room, "Obviously. Where will he go at dawn!" and sat in the living room. Hearing him, Ehan spoke up maki
Ehan'sP.O.V. Seeing Naira on the road, I got confused and looked around the road. I didn't notice her coming. I found myself uttering to myself,“Does she live here anywhere near!” and got thinking. After few minutes Akash got out of the washroom and got ready in a hurry. Taking Akash with me, I got downstairs. Uncle and Aunt were in the living room. Seeing us, Uncle got uttering, “When will you grow up Akash? Why Ehan always has to get you foryourimportant things!” Akash spoke up, “We are getting late, Dad.” and forwarded to leave. Finding nothing to do, I also took leave from them and left the house. Arriving at the college, we found Mack and Rivan waiting for us at the entrance. Seeing us, they got near as Rivan got uttering, “You really brought Akash on time, haan? We thought this sleepy head will never get here on time as you said. But you did it. Great job, b
Ehan'sPO.V. Going on thinking like, “I knew it. She would also be like other girls. Getting help in study is nothing but an excuse to trap me. Now she will get to start her stealing glaces of me game. I just hate these girls.”, I looked at the topic Naira was pointing at. If it wasn't the matter of that dare, I would have left the library after uttering some sweet words to this girl. My chain of got interrupted when Naira got uttering, “Are you going to explain this to me or not?” Leaving my thought at rest, I uttered with a little bit of smile, “Oh, yeah.” and started explaining her the topic. While explaining I kept looking at her every
Ehan’s P.O.V. After spending some time with my friends, I entered the library. Taking some books, I took a seat. After some time Naira got there. Giving me back my books, she thanked me. Hearing her and thinking like, “She really finished her notes within a day.”, I appreciated her in my mind. I have already decided not to go on with that dare. I still thought of sharing it to her but right then her phone started buzzing. Looking at the phone screen for once, she left from there uttering, “Ehan, there is a note for you in that book.” pointing at a book. Being confused, I opened the book and found heart shaped
Ehan’s P.O.V. Having a nightmare, I woke up from my sleep and sat with a thud. I happened to see the same incident of college in my dream too and uttered in extreme anger, “Damn.” The words of Naira and the expressions of people all around me kept flashing in front of my eyes. It was for the first time I felt humiliated and that too publicly. My life long image got tarnished that even by a girl. The hatred towards girls got increased a few times more than before. The more I was thinking about it, the more my decision was getting confirmed. Naira has to pay.. I hesitated for a moment to go college for the first time in my life remembering that moment which got me pissed off more. Dad was home and I didn’t want him to think otherwise. So getting ready, I left for college. I thought Naira wouldn’t get near me after behaving like that yesterday but no. She said sorry so easily like it was almost nothing.
Ehan'sP.O.V. While waiting for a message or a call from Naira, I fell asleep quite late at night and got late to wake up. The first thing I did waking up in the morning was checking my phone but to my disappointment, there was nothing. Is everything okay!I wondered. Except academic talkings, we never talked anything else. I knew nothing about Naira actually. Suddenly I got curious about her family. Who is there in her family?Dad, Mom? As soon as the word 'Mom' came to my mind, the worst scenario of my life started flashing in front of my eyes. My mood was sour already.
