"Don't you think you're too rude to Norah?", Sky asked in a low voice.

"No", Elliot said firmly.

"You're too young to understand the world Sky", he added.

"What do you mean?", Sky asked in puzzlement.

"You're too naive", Elliot said touching her nose.

"Not everyone deserves our politeness. Some people think our kindness is our weakness, so we should know how to put people in their place", Elliot gave her a lecture on life.

Sky was in a daze.

"So, you mean Norah is a bad person?", Sky asked innocently.

"No one can tell that but you should stay away from her", Elliot said and opened his laptop.

"Look at this picture, how is it?", Elliot asked carefully examining Sky's reaction.

"It's so beautiful", Sky was mesmerized looking at the picture of a beautiful house.

"Who's house is that?", Sky asked blinking her eyes slowly.

"Ours", Elliot said with a warm smile.

Sky was stunned.

'Our? my home? my own home?', Sky couldn't speak for a while.

"Yes, it is our home", Elliot held her hands gently.

"This is so beautiful", Sky had tears in her eyes.

Elliot really knew her the best. He knew how Sky longed for her own home where she can feel a sense of belonging. She had always been living under a continuous fear that one day she'd be abandoned by everyone. Elliot knew her darkest nightmare so he wanted to make her feel secure.

"Is it really our home?", Sky asked staring at the screen with tears.

"Yes", Elliot kissed her cheek and turned her face towards him.

"Lets get married", Elliot said with a deep voice.

Sky was stunned again.

She didn't know what to say.

"Don't you love me?", Elliot asked holding her cold hands.

"Aunt is calling me", Sky said and was about to leave when Elliot grabbed her arm and pulled her back towards him.

"I can wait for your answer but for God's sake stop running away from me like that", he said in a serious tone.

"I wasn't", Sky bit her lip.

She was just too shy to answer this question.

"Then tell me", Elliot forced her.

"I'm still studying", Sky said trying to get herself out of Elliot's embrace.

"You could still study after getting married. I won't stop you", Elliot said holding her firmly.

"Can't you wait for 2 years?", Sky asked helplessly. She didn't want to break his heart but she couldn't marry him so early. She was only 18.

"2 years", Elliot repeated her words.

"Promise me that you'll marry me after 2 years", he wanted to seal the opportunity.

"Promise", Sky said and finally escaped his embrace and ran out of the study room.

There was a smile on Elliot's face. He looked at the house infront of him. Sky didn't know that Elliot himself has designed this house. He wanted to surprise her on their first visit to their home.

He shut down his laptop and started reading a book unaware of someone's presence at his door.

Norah had seen everything infront of her eyes. She was getting even more desperate to get rid of Sky.

Although her mother had told her to wait but she couldn't endure it anymore.

She had already made a brilliant plan.

'Lets see how you are going to like this new house of yours', she sneered and picked her phone to make a call.

"I want everything ready by tomorrow night", she instructed the other party.

"Sure Madam", the other party said.

Next day, Sky woke up early.

She entered the kitchen to ask Mrs. Woods to prepare her breakfast when she met Norah there.

"Good morning Sky", Norah said with a bright smile.

"Good morning", Sky said and opened the fridge to get herself a glass of milk.

"You slept early last night", Norah said with a fake smile.

"Yeah, I was tired", Sky tried to avoid her as Elliot has told her.

"You missed out a lot. Me and Elliot spent the entire night together while talking about different things", she said with a smirk.

"You could have joined us if you hadn't slept so early", she pretended to sigh.

Sky looked at her in astonishment.

'When did Elliot become so comfortable with her? She might be lying',' she thought to herself,

"What did you talk about?", Sky tried to ask casually.

"Nothing much, we discussed our deepest secrets and I must say, Elliot is very nasty and very notorious", Norah said with a light laugh.

"He even showed me the house he purchased to spend the night with his new girlfriend", Norah said with an evil smile.

"What?", Sky couldn't believe what she heard.

"Yes, he showed me the place. It's a very beautiful house surrounded by a garden and a lake", Norah said trying to make her believe.

"He even told me that he has a date tonight and he will take the girl at that place", Norah said looking at Sky with disdain.

Sky's heart ached so bad that she couldn't even breathe.

"What happened to you Sky? Why do you look so pale?", Norah pretended to ask in concern.

"No, I'm fine", Sky said while leaving the kitchen.

"Sky, I have already told you. He doesn't love you. He only sympathies with you", Norah said behind her back.

Sky was about to turn away when she heard Elliot's voice.

"Good morning Sky", he said entering the kitchen.

"Have you had your breakfast?", he asked gently.

"I don't feel hungry, I'll go back and sleep for a bit", Sky said and left the kitchen.

She heard Norah's voice behind her.

"Thank you so much for the last night Elliot. I have really enjoyed a lot", Norah said in a spoiled tone.

"Hmm", Elliot nodded his head.

Sky couldn't believe what she heard.

'Maybe what Norah said is true', she thought to herself.

'Why would she even lie to me? She even knows about the house', Sky thought.

She had planned to go to that house tonight by herself to confirm whether Norah lied to her or not.
