Coffee and Horror Stories

It had been 2 weeks since Yavonne left. Two agonizing weeks. Had had barley slept or ate, but he went to school, and all day long held out hope.

Maybe...maybe she would be there? He and Connor had cleaned her apartment, installed a new window and door, and Koin had made very sure her rent would be paid. His father had promised to dig up what he could on her, but so far there was no word.

There were 3 things he was sure of.

1. She was hiding from someone.

2. She wasn't human, or..at least she was a gifted human.

and 3. If she returned right now he would grovel at her feet and beg her forgiveness.

By the second week he had a key to her apartment. He stocked her previously empty fridge with a variety of foods as he had no idea what she might like. He brought little gifts and flowers, but..no one came.

Sitting in her empty apartment was both torture and bliss. Her smell was everywhere and eased the ache in his heart slightly, but her absence was
