Addison’s POV

While we were talking, the nurse came into my father's room and said that my father had to have a routine check-up and after that, he had to rest. Damon and I had to leave Dad's room and let the nurse check on Dad's condition.

"I'll come back tomorrow, Dad," I said as I hugged him.

Dad nodded and smiled at me. Then I walked out of his hospital room with Damon following me. When we were outside the room, Damon suddenly held my hand as I was about to leave. I looked at him sharply.

"I'll come with you."

My forehead scrunched up at his words. "Where are you going?" I asked in surprise.

"Of course you'll see your friend the doctor ask about your illness, right?"
