CHAPTER 21

Charlotte's POV

Humphrey and I soon arrived at the Manor and we could see different cars parked outside. They probably belonged to students from the school. I was so nervous and excited as we walked in. The maids and servants have given Humphrey and me weird stares.

"Hi pen" I greeted one of the maids I had made friends with.

"Charlotte? Is that you?" She called, looking surprised as she stared at my outfit and then Humphrey who stood beside me.

"Yeah pen, it's me and this is my friend Humphrey" I gestured towards Humphrey who stood beside me. He looked a bit shy and waved awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you"

"Goodness," Pen sighed. "What are you doing here? And what are you wearing"

"We're here for Asher's party" I replied.

"Is that why you're dressed like that?" She looked confused and worried.

"Yes pen, if you could please take us to where the party is being held", I said politely.

"Are you sure it's okay to go to the party dressed like this?"

"Yes pen, come on, let's go!" I said excited.
