In Tampa I stayed the longest because it was so easy to blend in with the residents and tourists. I needed that because I didn't have control over my mind as of yet, didn't have myself guarded like I do now. After two years there I wandered northward, exploring the state another year before I moved on to travel one more year in the southern states before returning to Florida and building a home in Pensacola, a place where I had no memories of Dante.

I reread the part where they lost sight of Jackson in Chattanooga. The P. I. concluded that he believed the underling was heading for me. That he may finally be tired of being hunted and now wants to be found, to confront me and end it once and for all.

"You don't look good, Marina, what's going on?" Chad asked.
