There is a problem

Richard Anderson

After taking her to Viktor's office, I stood there outside. She might come out screaming or if she is not that dramatic than she will come out all scared.

But she didn't come out. I heard them talking, maybe she is different. I sighed.

When she came in my office, I knew she had liking for me, but she was not like others, throwing herself on me or showing her assets. She was beautiful and innocent. Her brown eyes were captivating, and her face had this unique dainty to it. For a change, there will be someone sensible to work with. I think, I am not needed here, and I really hope she will be strong enough to cope up with Bro. I made my way to my office.

____________

Jia Davis

I was crying loudly sitting on my living room couch, Stacy was sitting at a dinning table chair, going through some paper. I wailed louder to get her attention on me, she was ignoring my wails since last 10 minutes.

Finally, she looked up,

"Ok, what is it? You didn't get the job?"

"I got the job and have to start from next week." I said between my sobs

"So what is the problem and STOP CRYING." She said, getting irritated.

"He is not my boss" I said, wiping my tears.

"Who Richard Anderson? So who is your boss" she came and sat beside me on the couch.

"Viktor Anderson"

"Who is Viktor Anderson" she said frowning and facing me.

"Richie's elder brother. He is chairman of Anderson group, and the job opening was for his Personal assistant."

She sipped her coffee, thinking deeply.

"Well, you still will be around him, isn't it? Same office, you know" she said in a consoling tone.

"There is one more problem." I said pouting.

FLASHBACK

"I hope you will be comfortable working here" Saying that, he turned facing me and I...

I. SCREAMED!

But that scream never left my throat. I never let it come out. What I saw made me sad and made me wonder at the cruelty of life. Such a fine specimen of human being was ruined in a most brutal way.

The whole right side of his face and neck were covered in scares and burn marks. A few scars ran across his eyes and lips. I felt the pain he must have endured during this fatal accident. I was still staring at him, thought his face was devoid of any emotions, his haze eyes were intense. His hard expression told about the hardship he must have gone through.

"I see, you didn't run away screaming" he said sincerely.

"Why would I?" I said in disbelief. Who would do that. I could never insult him in such a way.

"My own fiancé did." He whispered, like telling himself. I heard him and felt sorry for him. What kind of fiancé was she! Instead of supporting him, she ran away?

"Ok so if you have decided to work here then let's get some things straight. I am very particular about two things, Time and Place. Everything has to be done at a particular time and at it assigned place, and it has to be done that way, there is no two-way about it. Am I clear?" He sat on his chair facing me.

"Yes sir" I gulped. My eyes still roamed on the scars. If those scare were not there, he would be the most handsome man.

"I hope you understood everything Mrs Hudson explained." He said. That made me stiff for a bit.

"Yes...yes sir." Why they keep reminding me about my mistake.

"Ok then Miss Davis, see you on next Monday, sharp at 8 on your desk. He said, pointing towards a bookshelf. I had not noticed there was a small room behind it, where a desk has been placed."

__________

I told her everything.

"I don't see any problem in it. I mean it's ok if his face has some scars but after time you won't even notice them. Soldiers should be respected for their sacrifices."

"I know. That is not the problem."

"Then?"

"I didn't pay attention to Mrs Hudson."
