10 A Little Confidence 

"Send her to my wing," Ethan linked the steward and wheeled back to his room. Entering the room. Meadow had the television on. She quickly switched it off and stood up.

Ethan could see she was nervous, and it had nothing to do with the television. The heated discussion during breakfast was part of it.

He stared at her a bit. Unable to hold his gaze, she looked away quickly, so he won't be offended. Meadow's people skills were poor, and that was because she never really socialised, so this was unchartered grounds for her.

"Are you feeling nervous?" Ethan asked her, and she nodded quickly. There was no point hiding it. He could see it already.

"Why?" he asked her, and she looked at him.

"You argued with everyone because of me. I really don't mind what Ashely said," she signed, and he was a bit angry at her for thinking it was okay to be disrespected.

He was mad at her parents for not helping her build her self-worth and self-esteem. So what, she was mute? Meadow was a gorgeous woma
