The Prophecy

I stared at the woman before me, not knowing what to expect from her. She'd just said that there was a prophecy surrounding my fate. How was I supposed to react to that? Prophecies meant a lot, in the world of the witches. The last time I'd seen my mother, a seer had visited. I wanted to walk away from Ama, telling her that I didn't want to hear whatever she had to say. But, I was worried that the prophecy was a matter of life and death.

"We can't talk here. We need to talk somewhere private" the seer said and I exchanged bewildered glances with Jaden.

We both followed her to a coffee shop. She led us to the break room.

"You can sit down" she said. Jaden hesitated. He was clearly on edge.

"Don't worry, I own this coffee shop" she assured us. Jaden slowly lowered himself onto a chair, a skeptical look in his eyes.

"Your mother knew about the prophecy, Rhea. It's why she took your twin sister far away and kept her from you. But, we can't exactly fight fate. Your twin sist
