Kylie's POV

I woke up to the rustling of something next to me. I didn't open my eyes right away because I felt a pain in my side.

"Ouch!"

My muscles are stiff. Why? Is it because of the cold bedrock? Well, I'm in a desert. I don't have a choice.

I opened my one eye. And the blue sky greeted me. Wow! It's morning! We woke up in the desert.

I grimaced and turned to my side while trying to move my stiff legs and back. The fast asleep Thurstin appeared to me.

I stopped trying to stretch. Whoa! He's sleeping. He's really sleeping. I thought he couldn't sleep because his face didn't look tired and sleepy. I thought he would just sit down and think of a survival plan.

Well I guessed, he's a human being like me. Tired and sleepy.

Thurstin was sleeping peacefully. When he fell asleep in class, you'd think he was sleeping on a soft bed instead of on a rock.

I slowly got up and slipped on my thigh and a black jacket. Jacket belonging to Thurstin. Wow! Did he use his jacket to cover me as a blank
