We’ve been standing for hours, there’s no sign of any person coming, and my legs are gone. What are we even waiting for?

When my legs finally gave up, I sat down. However, my captor had other plans. He pulled me up by my collar with a condemning look.

“I will not let you disrespect the king like that,” he glared at me before pushing me. Ouch.

I don’t like this kind of treatment; cold and mean. It doesn’t help when the aura of the palace is frigid. Everything is a dark shade of gray and screams dourness. Although the carpet and the throne are color red, it only added to the tense atmosphere this place gives. Even the plants can’t help liven up the place. The palace looks like a big wilting flower in the middle of the meadow. (More like a weed). It looks the same as the prison building we passed by earlier!

Who would live here?

Just being in this place feels like it sucks my soul out of my body. It’s just… lifeless.
