Adriana's pov

"Hey, Adriana," Lane said as he walked over to me, with a huge grin on his face

"What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised to see him again because he left during the competition without a word, so I thought I would never hear from him again

"I have a few things to take care of here, and I heard you'll be around for a while, so I decided to come and kill two birds with one stone, '' Lane explained. Uncertain of his intentions, I couldn't help but feel suspicious – we had only met that day.

"Well, maybe we can catch up later. We're quite busy at the moment," I responded, noticing the intense gazes of Alpha Abel and Alpha Carmen fixed on Lane, their faces revealing no emotion.

Lane nodded, seemingly unfazed by the tension in the air. "Sure, just let me know when you're free. I'd love to chat more."
