Chapter 18: The palace 1

It took at least fifteen minutes before they got to the gates of the palace. They rode in and Gwen was left in amazement. She had been here once, during the king's coronation but she didn't have time to marvel. She knew that she was only here as a maid but she was excited for some unknown reason.

Meanwhile Aurora kept on fidgeting internally in her seat. For some reason unknown, to her she felt like her being here wouldn't turn out good for her. She thought she was just being paranoid because of everything that had happened. She turned to see her sister who was smiling wholeheartedly as she looked through the carriage's window. It finally stopped and Martha got down. The girls also came down but with their heads bowed. They treaded slowly behind Martha. Aurora stared at the mighty walls of the palace. There were two guards at the front entrance but they didn't go through this part, instead they headed to the back to get in.
