Chapter 17: The job offer 2

The next day;

Miss Madeline sent a letter to Martha informing her that Aurora and Gwen were interested. She figured that she would get a reply by tomorrow. But she was suprised when she heard a knock on her door and she opened up to see that it was Martha.

"Martha, I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow." Miss Madeline said to her friend.

"I hope you didn't think I was joking when I said I was extremely short on staff."

"No, I'll call them now." She said. She went to the room where she saw the girls. "She's here, she has come to see you two."

"Who Is here Miss Madeline?" Gwen asked.

"My friend who I said works in the palace." She replied.

"Really, let's go then." Gwen said quickly and walked out. Aurora slowly trailed behind. For some reason she wasn't feeling as ecstatic as her sister.

When Aurora saw the woman named Martha she was suprised. She was the guardian of the girl she helped at the market.

"Good morning ma'am." They both greeted.
