I groaned internally as I looked around at the different food trucks. I had been looking out for this event for days ever since my other co-workers Dana and Sasha had invited me to join this event that was organized in order to sponsor the youth program of the city. I mean, how could I have said no to such an amazing event like that? And this was also a fun opportunity for me to network with my new colleagues, discuss potential collaborations for the remainder of the school year, and finally unwind after a busy first semester. And not to mention, the fact that this event only cost 14$ was a massive plus on my already low bank account, but I wasn’t about to share that small detail with anyone but myself. God… I had spent the past two days in meetings, responding to emails from parents, and I was swamped with school paperwork, but now, now I was excited to finally be able to let loose and enjoy the evening with my own peers instead of the ones who were three times younger
