Chapter 15 - "I will never make you happy."

“Ariana!” I listened to hear her heartbeat and although it was faint, it was there. Dammit! My mother should never have pushed for her to be here tonight. She hadn’t properly healed yet! I picked her up bridal style, not really caring who saw what and who thought I was crazy, as I carried her up the stairs and straight to my room. Calling the doctor through the mind link, I wondered what the hell he was thinking about letting her leave the hospital when she clearly wasn’t ready!

Moments later, my mother and the other two came rushing into the room, and I instantly regretted bringing Ariana there, but I didn’t know where her room was. My mother rushed to Ariana’s side and the doctor quickly followed. I moved out of the way so he could do whatever he had to do. I found it incredibly difficult and utterly frustrating to stand there and wait for news. So much so that I didn’t even notice Cami slipping her arms around mine.
