CHAPTER 4

Natalia's Pov.

I and my cousin shared a room together, although my Aunt's home was ginormous we still slept together whenever I came around, so we could and spend more time together talking, laughing and catching up all the things we missed from each other's life.

Katie was a year younger than me but she acted the most widely, flirtatious and bold about her feelings not minding who she offended or made uncomfortable with her words or actions. I loved and envied her equally, wishing I could just live freely and not mind what people said about me and how my actions could put my pack in danger.

I just wanted to live without pressure and guilt...was that too much to ask? 

I was the most miserable yet the most praised, jealous and scorned, always having to look out my shoulders and question every smile someone showed to me.

"What's with that glow all over you Nat?" She asked whimsically. 

"What glow Katie? it's probably because I finally get to see my cousin after such a long ass time" I said, hugging her tightly, hoping to distract her so we could change the subject. Knowing my cousin, she definitely had something totally crazy to say. 

She looks at me suspiciously for a few minutes and then laughs loudly.

"You can't fool me Nat, I know you too well. Compared to how you looked and your demeanor the last time I came to your pack, there's a clear difference now...it's obvious someone is involved, you better spill every single details to me right this minute or I'll force it out of you...

"Spill, spill, spill Nat" she said setting her fingers to tickle the answers out of me.

"One, two, three, fo..." 

"Okay, fine...fine, I met someone." I said blushing.

"Ahh..ha...I knew it! Who is the lucky Alpha, Nat.? 

"His not an Alpha Kathie, atleast that's what I think...He doesn't seem like one. 

"Not an Alpha, hmm, you don't seem quite sure of who he is Nat, ooh..this is just like in the books after a one night stand and they both forget what happened and who their one night stand was. Tell me everything"

I giggle at how focused she is describing impossible events. My cousin does not stop to amaze me.

"What pack is he from and how hot is he?" She asked with a cocky grin. 

"Well, from a scale of 1 to 100, I'll give him a 2000..."

"Ahhh...does he have brothers, cousins, nephews, please...please tell me he does, I'm so tired and bored of the men we have here, they aren't exceptionally looking. Tell me, how did you guys meet?

"Oh Katie, you're such a gossip" she ignores my comment and gestures for me to continue.

"We met at the fountain lake, I was having a swim naked in the water, enjoying the peace and quiet when I see a very fine man waking up to me, he just takes my clothes that were lying in the corner and practically shoves them in my face ordering me to put them on, when I try to argue he threaten's to get into the water and explore my body!" I huff, thinking about it still got me upset at how audacious that perv was that day.

"Oh my! He definitely is something unique, it's no wonder you've fallen head over hill's in love with him, you have a knack for bad audacious boys.." she said laughing.

"I haven't fallen for him Kat, I don't even know him well and you're the one that has a knack for everything bad." I said snorting. 

"Whatever you say Natie...So, what pack is he from, I need to know so I can go there to find my sexy Mr. Right."

I hesitate pondering hard if it was the right decision to tell her the Pack he was from, it was basically a taboo for Pack members from Silvercrest and Whitefang to have friends or partners from Bloodmoon. But it was Kathrine,  we never hid things from each other, no matter how bad it was.

"Erm..he...Bloodmoon Pack." I said in a rush whilst bitting my lips hard, silently praying she doesn't freak out. It takes her a while to understand what I just said. 

"What, Natie! Your parents would kill you If they ever found out, you know that Pack is off limits especially for you as you are the future Alpha of the Silvercrest pack, Alpha Seiko can get you punished if he ever finds this out." She said panting.. 

"Thankfully, it's just you I'm telling this to, so if you don't want to see me get punished you have to promise to keep it a secret." I tell her smugly.

"You know I can never breath out your secret to another soul...I'd rather die than betray you Natie, we're sisters for life." she stated with an aggressive head. 

"How about you also tell me what has been going on in that head of yours since the last time you came to Silvercrest...You look like you have someone you strongly have your eyes on, apart from Daniel of-course. I questioned her slyly.

She stalls a little, probably waiting for me to beg her to tell me more, but I know her all too well, I knew she couldn't wait to spill everything to me..

"What.. me??...Naah, Nothing, my life is just too boring here. But I must say, have you seen Alpha Grey, our future Alpha recently?? He looks more and more like an Egyptian god. He's gotten so fine!!..and I know you detest this Pack for all the despicable things they have done, I do too, but we can't deny the fact that the man is super attractive." She said with dreamy eyes.

"Please, Don't tell you have a secret relationship with him?"

"No cus, but I'm thinking about it, but he's just always so damn rude and arrogant! Even though I like my men that way though, it's just that in his own case, he doesn't even spare me a single glance, neither does he acknowledge my presence...

 "Listen to me Katie, you're better than this, don't ever think of having anything or mating with that monster, because of how sick him and his father is. He's only going to want to take advantage of you and hurt you. They don't care about any other person other than themselves."

"Hahaha...cus, see how serious you suddenly are, lecturing me just like my mom would. Don't mind me, I was just trying to rile you up and see your reaction..." I breathe out a sigh of relieve, I should have known, to not take my cousin so seriously.

"For a moment, I thought I had lost my sweet cousin completely" I said, whilst upset and relieved at the same time.

"C'mon Nat, you should know me better, I love attention. If I was to ever mate with Alpha Grey I'll first die from loneliness before his strangles my already lifeless body."

"Stop talking nonsense katie." I said getting up to have a glass of juice.

"It's true Nat, his never ever seen with any female, neither does he regard the hundreds of unmated females that literally throw themselves at him daily, rumours are already spread that he might actually hate women and is only attracted to men. It's either that or he already is in-love with someone else."

"You know Nat, the more I think about it now, the more I realise that you are actually the only female he has smiled and kept his eyes for almost 40minutes, he usually did not look at anyone for more than 5minutes. What if...you're the mystery woman he only has eyes for?" She squeaked happily.

"When was this?" I asked, already bored. 

"During the get together ceremony of all the Southern Packs Nat, I swear, I saw him watch at you with keen interest and longing when you were called to the podium to play the piano."

"You watch too many dramas Kat, I'm sure there was nothing special about how he looked at me, it was just like the rest of them who stared and enjoyed the performance." I said, a pinch of doubt dancing in my mind as I try to recollect the events of that day.
