A FEW WEEKS LATER

Life as a vampire was interesting to say the least. I had been lucky to have survived the turn and have James’ blood made available to me when I awoke with a powerful thirst. I hadn’t lunged for Cade per say but my fangs had elongated when I woke, wanting to be buried in someone’s neck. Cade had given me the tumbler of blood, but that hardly took the edge off. We had ventured downstairs to see what was in the cellar when Theo stopped us, offering me his neck which I didn’t even hesitate to sink my new, sharp, teeth into. It was sheer bliss as his skin parted to give way to me, his warm blood flowing into my mouth, the coppery tang sweet on my tongue. A moan sounded in my throat and I heard both men laughing at me as my cheeks flushed. Unsure of when to stop I pulled back and saw that both of them were grinning widely.
