Chapter 11

Shocked didn’t even begin to cover it. I had gone to the address Cade had given me and while I had been expecting a mansion the small, understated house in front of me was what I ended up in front of. Pulling into the brick driveway of the quaint, deep grey house I took it all in. This was not what I was thinking it would be. There was a yard on either side, littered with a mish mash of shrubs and trees so that it appeared almost like a jungle. I had packed a small overnight bag, with a few outfits and the essential toiletries and makeup. I took a deep breath and talked to myself, I could and would do this; after all this was going to be my home soon and I needed to do some reconnaissance work. This was going to be where we lived, where we slept, where we did everything together.
