Chapter Ten - Like You

Daniel's P.O.V

"I like you."

The three words floated right my ears as my entire body stiffened. I detached myself from Eleanor as I look at her dazed state.

Both of us just sit there in silence under the stars as we gaze into each other's eyes. The words she just said replaying in my head over and over again like it was my favorite song.

She likes me.

Eleanor likes me.

Angel likes me.

Flower likes me.

My soulmate likes me!

As the realization finally hit me, my eyes were overfilled with joy but as I opened my mouth to speak.

"El-" As if my voice brought her back to our world again. Eleanor eyes opened wide as she abruptly got up from my side and left.

"Eleanor!?" I called her out in hopes of some sort of reply but none came.

It was now just me, these trees, the sky, these stars and the moon.
