Bad dream

NADIA’S POV

The wind whipped at me as I dashed through the pitch dark woods. The cold night air stung my skin and caused goosebumps to form across every inch of my body. My hands were stuffed in my pockets, but that wasn’t much protection against the biting wind.

I shivered violently from head to toe as it whipped strands of my hair into my eyes. I turned another corner, hoping to find myself heading deeper into the forest. My breathing became ragged, and my knees wobbled weakly beneath my weight. The cold didn't help matters either.

I swung my arms back and forth, and looked back at intervals. I could feel someone was chasing after me, and I could sense a dangerous intent. Some leaves on light branches pricked my skin and caused marks to appear on my body as I ran past them.

The trees were denser here and there where they grew thicker than most, forcing me to weave my way through them in order to stay in the open. As soon as I made it into the densest part, I stopped completely and
