Chapter 2

(Alexander’s POV)

I heard a scream as soon as I woke up, so I hurried downstairs to the kitchen to see what was making the commotion. I noticed that our enormous and opulent kitchen was in disarray, and all of the maids were standing in a queue against the wall with their heads down. Then I turn to face the person who called my name.

“Yes my princess?” I asked with a calm voice to my sister who scowled at me.

“See, what a mess Alaina made” she said while glaring at her, who was covered in a white powder like stuff.

“I just wanted to give you a surprise'' Alaina said while looking at me with tears in her eyes.

“Al come here” I opened my arms for her and caressed her head. 

“Ash, don’t just stand there. I want my other princess also” and opened my right arm for her as well. She walked into my arms and hugged Alaina also.

“I am sorry Alaina, I should have not shouted at you” Ashley said while looking at her and in return Alaina smiled at her while saying ‘It’s ok’.

“Now that’s my girls. I love you both a lot in the whole world” and kissed their heads.

“We love you too Alex” both of them kissed my cheeks and went back to their work. I walked into my room, took a bath and changed into different clothes. Then, I went straight to my home office and started working.

After an hour, there was a knock and my two little princesses came with a cake and a bright smile on their face.

“Happy birthday big bro” they both shouted and ran to me after putting the cake on the table.

“Thank you so much” After blowing candles and cutting the cake they both gave me a piece each. 

“This piece is from mom and dad’s side” both of them said with a small smile and gave a piece to me.

“We know you don't celebrate your birthday with others but as a family we can still celebrate it, right?” Ashley said after a few minutes with a sad voice. 

“Whatever you want I'll give you both. So, what do you want to do?” I pushed her onto my lap. 

“Uh… can we watch a movie?” Alaina said while showing his puppy eyes.

“Yes Alex, it’s been so long we haven’t watched a movie together…like a family” Ashley has always been a sensitive one among the twins. 

“You both know I can’t refuse anything to you. So, go and prepare for a movie night, I have to finish this work first” And they both walked out. 

My only family that is left now are my sisters and I can tear a world apart for them that much they mean to me. While working I was also thinking about how my life has turned since that tragic day. 

I became the alpha king of the planet's largest and strongest pack with a lot of responsibilities, so it's not an easy job and it started for me at a very young age.  Additionally, it gets harder to manage not only mine but also to verify that the other packs are in correct operating condition due to our shared genealogy with the moon goddess making us pure blood in werewolf clan.

“Alpha king…” Brian, my beta entered and stood in front of me with hands folded behind his back.

“We have to leave for the meeting tomorrow at 9 am” he said when I motioned for him to continue. And left after getting a response from me.

After finishing all my work, I went directly to our personal home theatre, which can easily accommodate around 50 people. My princesses were already seated in their places with popcorn. As soon as they saw me, both of them pushed me down in between their seats and started the movie ‘cars’.

“Is everything done?” The following morning, I got dressed early, called a conference of all the higher officials, and gave the order to keep the pack peaceful and safe in my absence. I then bid my sisters farewell and asked two of my very capable and trustworthy troops to watch over them. Then I headed to the airport to board my own aircraft and fly to Michigan.

“Alpha King, we have reached” Brian woke me up after 10 hr of flight and I looked out to see that we had already landed. 

“Everything has been loaded in the car, we can leave now” He said and we both left the plane.

After around half an hour, we reached our destination and the owner, as well as one of the alpha of this hotel, was standing at the entrance with a few managers for me. They welcomed me as it was my first time here and the owner personally took me and my pack members to their room which was on the 15th floor. 

“You all can take a rest, we will have a meeting tomorrow afternoon. I will let my beta guide you with all the details” the owner, Adam said and left after bowing his head.

I slept for the entire day, so the following morning, I showered and had breakfast that Brian had previously ordered. After some time I headed out for the meeting. The other alphas from across the world were already at the location when I arrived, and the meeting began. All the alphas brought up concerns about their pack forward, which Brian noted. I made some ideas regarding those concerns, but I also promised them that I will go into some of the other issues more completely. Considering that this conference only takes place once a year, the meeting lasted at least three hours.

“I am going for a walk, Brian” I went outside the room to get some fresh air when the meeting concluded.

When the sun set started I walked back to the lift and pressed the button. My wolf Aaron howled for the first time at seeing the most stunning girl we had ever laid eyes on. The thing that captivated me and my wolf was her turquoise blue eyes, even though… she isn't our actual mate.
