Kai:

I watched as mom had the maids unpack the things that she had them bringing in.

She wasn’t speaking nor was she looking at me, and I knew that it was going to take more than just a simple apology for things to be fixed this time. I don’t think that I have ever seen her as angry with me, but I wasn’t going to go back from my decision.
