Skylar stayed locked up for three days and on the fourth day she realized she couldn't go on living like a zombie forever.
Mainly because she was out of packaged snacks and starving.
Her legs felt like jelly as it landed on the cold floor, making her flinch slightly.
She combed her already wide hair with her fingers, pushing it out of her view as she strolled out of her room and to the kitchen.
Looking around the empty house she was hit with a bang of lonliness, the walls which was painted a mixture of black and ash made her feel like time had slowed down.
Or maybe she had changed timelines.
But the pain was the last thing she wanted to think about.
The pictures were gone. So was the flower have at the end of the stairs. Mr Groggy.
Did you take that too? Irene?
She arrived at the kitchen, only to be hit twice as hard as she stared blankly in front of the fridge.
Skylar couldn't cook.
Irene was always the one to cook so she never felt the need to learn.
But Irene wouldn't be cooking for her anylonger. Not for forever.
After about five minutes of just standing dumbly, Skylar decided she would just look for something to eat.
Going through the first three cupboards, they were all filled with dry veggies and ingridents.
The fourth were mainly cooking utensils. Spoons, forks, knives.
Knives.
Hers eyes sparkles from the reflection as she stared curiosity. Unconsciously grabbing the smallest in the rank.
Will all the thoughts go away if i used this? She had a thought.
She turned it around and around feeling conflicted, then held out her wrist.
Pain to numb pain.
That's how it's done right?
A little slit. A little slit and it'd all go away.
Just a little slit and she won't have to think about those things anymore.
She looked up as she brought the knife to her wrist.
A little slit...
She gritted her teeth.
She breath shakily, eyes looking up ahead and outside the open window when she caught a figure staring at her from the window next door. Unmoving.
Skylar blinked. Once. Then twice. A little more of shock and surprise mixed in her depressing emotion.
She looked back down at the knife held to her wrist, her face heating up in shame and embarrassment.
Quickly. She threw the knife into the sink, turned around. Racing up the stairs with all her might.
He saw me.
He definitely knows.
What If he calls the police?
Would they take me to court?
Then I'd serve in jail?
What if I never come out?
What if......?
Skylar had a hard time as different negative thoughts attacked her.
But.....
She raised her wrist up to her eye level.
Why would I want to cut my wrist?
Why am I been so stupid over it?
It's just a breakup Skykar. Get use to it?
I feel like I am going crazy. Skylar grinned sadistically.
She hated feeling down. And no matter what she would always put on a smile and make it okay.
It was like a self therapy. Her own personal therapy.
But not this time. She couldn't muster any positive energy and she didn't want to feel happy or anything.
She just wanted to feel nothing.
Her stomach grumbled painfully, sending her rolling from up the bed to the floor. "Am hungry. Am so hungry."
I need food. Skylar growled with gritted teeth.
Positive or negative energy. Nothing could ever affect her appetite.
That's it. She crawled to her reading table then grabbed her already dying phone.
8 percent.
I should charge you. Maybe later.
She felt already tired from breathing, anything else becomes. Obviously not a necessity.
Within a row of clicks she ordered a takeout. Rubbing on her stomach which hurt all over.
Her order arrived in five minutes and only after eating a round belly was she able to think.
Her boyfriend was gone.
Her best friend and only true love was gone.
She had nobody. No family. No friends.
Back to the lonliness she belonged.
Wouldn't it be better to just die.
Skykar slapped her face heavily. Successfully getting rid of the odd though.
Pushing herself off the chair with a stagger. She head for the bathroom.
I need to leave this place.
I need fresh air.
And maybe get drunk. A little.
She had barely taken ten steps when her phone chimed.
With a groan, she turn back to get it before strolling into the bathroom.
Slamming the door shut, she sat on the tube as she swiped away the dozens of missed call hanging on the screen face before finally getting to the new text.
Class teacher John.
Important test by 3pm. Attendance is mandatory.
Skykar literally blanked out.
School!!
She never really thought about school.
No!! I can't go back.
She switched off the phone. White teeth gnawing on her lips.
They must all know what happened by now.
They would all point fingers and laugh at me. They would......
Her frail finger pressed on the 'on' button and the phone came to life once again.
2:06
There isn't much time left!!
I should go. I can't fail!
I can't fail.
With a bellyful of reluctant Skykar stepped into campus. No one noticed her as she walked quietly with her head hanged low, nor when she entered the hall to get her book from her locker.
It gave her relief, but also left her disappointed.
She was almost used to the greetings and smily nods from everyone where ever she went.
Maybe it was just a tip for been a popular's girlfriend. Now they have broken up when was back to nothing.
All the privileges now to to his new girlfriend.
It wasn't until she opened her locker before Skylar realized she hadn't been completely forgotten.
Her books were shredded into many pieces, all flying out the moment she opened the door.
Skykar stood shocked at first. Then something hit her.
She shoved her hand into the pile of dirt paper on the ground, desperately feeling for the cold metal that was supposed to be in her locker.
But at the end she didn't find just one, but six.
Six parts of a broken silver watch.
It was Nathan's birthday gift to her earlier this year.
She felt it was too itchy so she decided to keep it away in her locker where she would see it everyday.
She pocketed the watch pieces, shut her locker before running out of the hall under the watchful eye's of the other students.
Skylar got to class a minute before the lecturer. Just enough to settle down until the papers where shared.
It was fairly easy for her since she had an Ace student as a best friend who would always give her the major points to review for both exams and test.
Now she is gone I guess I will have to do it all by myself.
The lecturer left immediately after the test which was very short.
Skykar was starting to pack her bags when her ears caught a distinct whisper.
"It's she...."
".........ran away......."
"Embarrassing............. pathetic......"
She could pick up some words as they discussed. And she could feel their eyes one her too.
They are talking about me.
They know.
I knew.
Panicked. She shoved everything inside her bag. Then stiffly walked out of the class. She headed for the stairs. First floor—second floor—up to the last floor.
She pushed the door open. Rushing over to the edge of the rooftop as she gasp madly for air.
They know.
They all know.
They won't like me anymore.
They will hate me.
She grabbed the railings tightly to stop her fingers from shaking.
Her lips trembled violently, with cold sweet dripping down the side of her face.
She drew in deep calming breaths. Swallowing down the uncomfortableness in her throat.
Slowly, she regained herself. Letting the cool breeze blow past her hair, lightly grazing her neck.
It was nice here. As always. One of Skylar's favorite place on campus.
Unlike most people, Skykar wasn't one bit afraid of hight. Instead it gave her a sense of deja vu.
Looking down at the tiny humans littered all around, and how high up she actually was, she couldn't help but think to herself.
Would I really die if I fall from here?
And who knew they would come a reply. "Will you?"
Skylar jumped up in surprise, almost falling over. Her heart beating wildly in her chest. She looked over her shoulder to meet a familiar pair of green eyes. It's him. Thinking about it, she realized he really did look similar to the guy from earlier in the morning. No. Not look alike. It must certainly be him. Skykar crossed. But looking more closely, and with the help of the day light she realized his hair wasn't actually black. But a dark shade of coffee brown. Falling below the nape of his neck. He stood up, elegantly dusting the dirt off his pants, both hands inserted in his pockets as he lean back slightly giving off a cool demeanor. Skykar backed up slightly. Thoroughly intimidated by his stare. Why is he following me everywhere? At the same time, he asked, walking over. "Why are you everywhere?" I don't know. Skykar blanked. "This is the third time already." He crossed his arm over his chest, looking right down at her. "The very third time." ★★★★★★★ "I should cal
Skylar woke up the next day feeling a bit more alive. She was starting to feel a rise in her positive energy. So she decided. She wouldn't think of anything or nothing. For today she would go out, have fun, and forget about everything else. With this in mind, she threw open the window. Blasted her speakers on as she played 'move like Jagaar.' down stairs and danced/dressed up for school. By the time she was done it was already some minutes past eight. I am late. Skykar gave up her thoughts on breakfast, grabbed her bag and raced down the road to catch the bus. The day went even better than she expected. It wasn't as bad as the other day. At the end of her second class, Skykar felt much better. She was able to keep off the gossips by wearing an ear plug. Although it wasn't much help since she knew they must be talking about her. She already made a decision. She only had to hold on to the end of the semester. Then she'd transfer to another school. She was busy packing her boo

"Hey fatty!!" The rough voice sent a cold shiver down Skylar's back. It was Colton and Devin. Thankfully there was no sight of the leader Anointing. "What do you want?" Skylar sighed tiredly. From highschool, up till now. Do these idiots never get tired? "Nothing....." Colton grinned. "It just that we heard your little prince charming broke your heart." Devin pat on her shoulder, giving her a sympathetic smile which Skylar thought was to mock her. "You are allowed to come watch us play any time you feel sad. Football has a way of washing away some one's sorrow." As if? Despite her thoughts, Skylar nodded. "noted. I will keep that in mind." Fortunately, it did the job as they Devin gave her one last look before they both walk away. "Friends." Grayson popped a brow after they left, making Skylar's lips raise up towards the heaven in a scowl. "No. Clowns." Skylar then purse her lips before asking. "If I were to join you.........in exercising.....will it really work?" "Skylar.
Why the three of them? "Where have you been?" 'you still have the guts to ask?' "Skylar?" Grayson voice had her throwing a glance back. Her drumming heart slowly calming down. The short blond smiled fully, as she further said. "I haven't seen you ever since. I was thinking of paying you a visit." 'as if you even care if I am alive or dead.' Skylar scowled in her head, still she made no attempt to reply. "You got Irene so worried. It was literally torture." Miranda added after Bianca. Skylar glanced at the said Irene who was staring blankly. With no look of remorse on her face. Do these two clowns think I am blind? Do they think she can't see those mocking smile in-between each of their words. "I have been busy." She forced between gritted teeth. "Class has been really hectic." "Really?" Bianca snorted, still managing to keep up her smile. "Then how about we find some time to hang out together?" Skylar wanted to scream out a 'no', but at the end she still gave a pathetic
Skylar walked into the canteen feeling like a huge weight had been dropped on her shoulder. She forced a straight look on her face, forcing her legs forward. 'i will just get lunch then go outside to eat.' she filled her tray, with a slight shrug. 'afterall I like eating alone.' She had barely turned around when she heard a loud call. Glancing over her shoulder she saw a table of 'clowns' waving her over. Thoroughly ignoring them, Skylar turned to walk out of the canteen, when she heard her name again. This time it was a familiar dirty blond guy. 'Oliver?' Skylar was somewhat surprised. Does he needs my help with the note? She weighed the scale, before finally deciding to honor his request. There was a total of three people sitting at the table. A black haired, average fat, shorty who Skylar was sure won't be that taller than her, a very tall, black haired, extremely handsome guy, then Oliver. The very handsome guy (as Skylar refers to him as) pulled a chair from another tab
"Who did this?" Marcus narrowed his eyes coldly. Skylar's back ran cold and only after he asked for a second time did she regain herself. "No—body. I don't know." She shook her head with a downcast look. "We should report this to the school authority." He said. Goosebumps all over his arms due to anger. "No..." Skylar shook her head quickly. "I don't want to." The last thing she wanted was to implicate Irene. Bullying could lead to suspension. Or worst. Expulsion from the school. Marcus stared at her silently and Skylar had a hard time forcing the words out of her mouth. "Please don't tell anybody about this, Marcus. Please....." With a hesitant look, Marcus nodded. If it was Oliver or Regina it would have been impossible for them to keep shut. But Marcus was a sort of person who knew how to stay out of other people's business. That's until the situation touches his bottom line. "Okay." Then walked past her, causing Skylar to clench her wrist. After seeing how pathetic she
"come out Skylar–– I can see you." A evil laugh resounded in the dimly lit hall. Sending Skylar's heart halfway down her stomach. Her shaky fingers moved to her mouth. Holding back the sobs, while her eyes watched the darkness from where she hid. "My dear Skylar." George sighed audibly. "Oh...my dear Skylar. Come out, won't you?" "Without you, my sweety blue sky. My day is blueless. And what is life without, a little blue?" He sang like a heavenly poem. all words were like a deadly screech in Skylar's ear. Then it all went quiet. The silence was even more agonizing. Like a hunting ghost that hid in the shadow, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike its prey. The fear slowly sinking into her skin and spreading with each heartbeat. Suddenly, she felt hot air erupt behind her right ear. "Found you Skylar. Or should I say? Little Blue." "Ahhhhhhh......" ________________ "Ahhhhhhh....." Skylar jumped off her bed with a loud scream. Running into the poor Natasha who had bee
