A humiliating Rejection

Sera’s heart pounded furiously in her chest as she entered the coronation hall.

She was wearing a glittering silver dress that highlighted her bright brown eyes and hugged her waist and hips seductively.

it was also just low enough to show a hint of her voluptuous cleavage.

Sera looked gorgeous and she knew it.

It was from a high class luxury boutique and it cost much more than she could have ever hope to afford. Thankfully she was able to loan out the dress for the just one night. On the condition that she returned it the very next day.

She couldn’t wait for Amelia to see her in the dress. She would probably choke to death with envy.

Sera smiled at the thought.

But as soon as she stepped into the hall, a painful hush fell over the crowd.

Most of the Pack members turned their gazes away from her, while others shot her glares filled with disgust.

Again she could hear the cruel whispers around her.

“I can’t believe she has the nerve to show her face here.”

“Where did she even get that kind of dress?... I bet she stole it!”

“She should be thrown out.”

“Her presence is a bad omen.”

“Disgusting Omega!”

“Fucking murderer!”

Sera forced herself to ignore the whispers and walk forward, her chin held high.

“What the actual fuck?!” A thin voice screeched behind her.

Sera turned to see Amelia gawking at her in shock. Amelia was dressed in a very tight see through dress that pushed her boobs up so high that it looked like they would pour out of her dress at any second.

She clearly never expected that Sera could look that pretty or wear such a glamorous dress.

Sera shot her a satisfied smirk.

“Where did you get that omega?! Amelia glared, scanning Sera from head to toe.

“This dress? ... your daddy bought it for me!” Sera said with a mischievous smirk.

Amelia looked like she was about to strangle Sera with the chord of her phone but the leaders of the pack chose that minute to announce the opening of the ceremony. So everyone was forced to stand at attention.

As the ceremony commenced, all eyes turned toward the elevated platform where the coronation was taking place.

It was a simple and straight forward ceremony. The young Alpha-to-be Lucas knelt in front of the Packs Elders, Repeating after them his vows to treat every pack member with Love and justice.

After completing the ritual of vows and oaths, the newly coronated Alpha Lucas stood to face his people with his beta , James at his side.

The pack members erupted into cheers and applause, their love for their new Alpha very obvious.

Sera's heart twisted as she watched Alpha Lucas in all his gorgeous glory before her.

Lucas was the most handsome man she had ever seen! His light green eyes where captivating and beautiful. His blond hair looked so smooth and shiny. And his tall muscular body made her dizzy with desire. Most girls in the pack would kill to be his Luna and rule by his side.

Heck they would even kill to just be his mere concubine or mistress. Anything to have such a handsome man in their bed.

Sera didn’t even dare to dream of being chosen as the future Luna so she busied herself by subtly looking around for where the food and snacks were being served.

At the same time, a sudden hush fell over the crowd as everyone held their breath in anticipation.

The moment for the Alpha Lucas to find his mate had arrived.

Lucas's gaze scanned the room in search of his precious Luna.

Slowly his eyes moved left and right, glossing over all the pretty girls that were desperately smiling at him —-trying their best to get his attention with their scantily covered bodies and flirty eyes.

Sera hadn’t yet managed to locate where the snacks were being served so with a disappointed sigh, she also looked up at Lucas.

Suddenly his eyes met Sera's for the briefest of seconds and he froze.

Sera was stunned to see the most revered and most handsome man in the Pack staring at her intently.

She watched as his nose flared and his brow furrowed in concentration.

Then, All her senses sharpened, and zoomed in on Lucas and it felt like the world and people around them melted away.

All she could see was him.

All she could smell was him.

All she wanted to touch was him.

All she wanted to taste was him.

This was the pull of a mating bond.

Recognition flickered in Lucas’s icy stare, and the realization hit them both like a lightning bolt.

They were fated mates, destined to be bound together by the Moon Goddess's will!

“Alpha.” she called to him in disbelief. ... The Godess had finally answered her prayers. She had found someone to love her.

But suddenly twisted Lucas's features, contorting his once-handsome face into a mask of disgust.

The Alpha's voice boomed through the hall, his words laced with venom.

"No! I refuse to accept this! I refuse to accept her!— Sera Mooncrest, you are a cursed abomination on this pack and I will Never. Ever. Make you the Luna of my pack!."

It felt like someone had stabbed her chest with a million knives.

At that same time, Shocked gasps filled the room at the news of who their new Luna was supposed to be.

“Just tell me.. great members of the silver-moon pack. Is this evil weak Omega supposed to be my Luna? The gods forbid it!” He sneered to the amusement of the crowd....and Amelia.

Humiliated and rejected, Sera stood alone as tears started to trickle down her cheeks.

“Please no!” She whispered as tears started to pour down her face.

“Alpha please don’t!... you’re the only hope I have left.... you’re the only one that can love me... please don’t do this.” She cried. The pain of his disgust consumed her and twisted into her heart like a knife.

If her fated mate couldn’t even love her, who on earth would ever love her?

“You are a fool if you ever think that I will accept a cursed weakling like you as my mate. Get the fuck out of my sight!.” Lucas command vibrated with malice.

The Mocking Laughter of the crowd grew louder as Sera whirled around and ran out of the hall with tears of shame and pain streaming down her face.

She ran home, threw herself on the bed and cried her heart out.

She never asked for any of this.

“How much more pain and humiliation am I supposed to endure?

Even the one person in the world who was supposed to love me is ashamed to be with me. Am I doomed to die alone?” She cried herself to sleep.

In the middle of the night, Sera was woken up by a sudden sharp pain in her chest. It felt like someone was trying to tear her chest open. She gasped and clutched her chest as the pain intensified. It felt like she was going to die.

Suddenly the pain ceased and she could finally breathe again.

Immediately she realized what the pain meant.

Her mate was cheating on her, and she could feel the pain through her bond.

Her eyes had already shed all the tears her body could produce. So she slumped back on the bed and tiredly fell back asleep.

The next day, her eyes were red and puffy as She wrapped a shawl around her shoulders before leaving the house, hoping to hide her appearance from attracting unwanted attention.

But she still couldn't escape the whispers and gossip that followed her every where.

She didn’t want to go out today or ...ever, But she had to return the expensive dress she had loaned or else she would be forced to pay more money than she could afford.

When she reached the boutique. She halted in shock as she caught sight of Lucas and Amelia standing in the same boutique she was about to enter.

Lucas had his arm wrapped intimately around Amelia’s waist, groping her ass as he shoved his tongue down her throat in an intimate kiss.

She whimpered in pain as she watched them, So this is why she was in pain yesterday. Lucas was sleeping with her enemy.... Amelia.

Refusing the urge to run and hide, she marched up to them, her voice trembling with hurt and anger.

"Lucas...How could you?" Sera's eyes searched his face.

Lucas turned to her and his expression immediately turned to one of anger and disgust.

"Sera, don’t cause a scene. Go home! Can’t you see we’re busy?... Just go away," he dismissed, his voice strained.

Sera looked down at the dress in Amelia’s hand and realized that Amelia had come to buy the exact same type of silver dress Sera had worn the previous day.

Amelia truly wanted to steal every good thing that Sera had.

The bully smirked at Sera, her voice dripping with false sympathy.

"Yes, Sera..... go home, I know you’re heart broken to see us together but there’s nothing you can do about it...... Last night after you disappeared, Lucas just couldn’t keep his hands off me."

Sera's voice wavered with pain as a sob escaped her lips.

Lucas face contorted with rage and he walked up and yanked Sera’s arm in a painful grip.

“Didn’t you hear me filthy Omega? I said leave!” He shoved her roughly towards the door but she stumbled and fell on her face from the violence of his push.

Amelia immediately burst into wicked laughter as Sera scrambled to get back up.

Tears welled up in Sera's eyes and her voice choked with shame.

"You humiliated me in front of everyone already. Now you’re choosing Amelia over me? Why are you doing this to me Lucas?"

Amelia's laughter was cold and mocking when she answered.

"Oh, Sera, you were never meant to be anything more than an outcast Omega. This is where you truly belong, under our feet for us to step on.”

Amelia’s words broke something in Sera’s spirit, and she immediately stopped crying.

With a look of icy anger, Sera straightened her posture, her eyes blazing with defiance.

"Fine Lucas! You’re free to do what ever you want with eachother... I won’t care anymore! I Sera Mooncrest accept your rejection!”

Lucas frowned at her like she had gone mad.

“I didn’t reject you.” he declared.

“W-what? But yesterday you made it clear you didn’t want me!” Sera murmured in confusion.

“Yes- you can’t be my Luna, but I’ll never reject you” he repeated.

“But Why? If you don’t want to be with me, why won’t you let me go?” She shrieked.

“Because… you’re mine Sera. Only mine” his eyes drifted down to her full chest and hips as his gaze filled with lust.

“All mine.”
