SCARLET’S POVI fell backwards immediately as a fierce gasp escaped me. I moved back quickly as it had been so close to me, and I lost my balance once more, falling to the floor. At that rate, I couldn't keep count of the number of times I had fallen. I had simply been in a state of continuous shock ever since I had met myself when I was. It felt like building up to a frequency at which it was going to burst, splatter and leave me dead. Standing behind me was a figure in a black hood. It towered over me menacingly, but I couldn't see its face, and just then the wind picked up slowly. Something tickled my hair and I caught it immediately, only to find it was my hair."Please…" I heard myself whisper as I began to try my best to shift as far away as I could away from it, but my hands were too shaky to hold their ground on the floor. They buckled, and gave way, making me lay flat on the floor. I immediately, sat up, and scrambled to my feet, all the while keeping my eye on the creature i
SCARLET'S POV I gasped for air as I was brought back to reality. What I had seen must have been a result of where Ralph and I went to.It was a really scary moment for me, but right now, what was my top most priority was finding Elias.ELIAS' POV.I walked in after her, feeling cautious of my steps. She seemed to know her way well because she kept on going further, winding her way down the paths. I felt terribly uneasy. It seemed like all the parts of my body, and everything in me were telling me not to go, to return; wait for her to come out from the cave, but my curiousity kept me going. Dark energy seemed to emanate from the cave, prickling my senses, and having the hairs on my body alert, and standing upright. My heart filled with dread, as the ominous feeling grew. I really wanted to stop, and think things over, but I kept following her deep into the cave, trying to keep my presence unknown. Once or twice, my feet stumbled on the rough stones, but Sylvia did not. She walk
SCARLET'S POV I ran in the streets like something blind, desperate to get to Elias. I needed to tell him everything that had happened. Sylvia was dangerous, and we needed to stop her before she began to hurt people, or became stronger. I made my way to the Palace, and stopped a few steps in front of the gates, tucking my hair behind my ears, and trying to seem collected.“Is Elias home?” I asked them, breathlessly, but they shook their heads.“We saw him a while ago in the afternoon, but haven't seen him after that.” The first guard replied, while the second nodded. I shouldn't have bothered myself with going. Already his aura wasn't present there, I couldn't feel him anywhere near.“Thanks.” I said, turning and walking away quickly. When I was out of sight, I began to run. I didn't want them to think anything was wrong anywhere. They were guards, and were going to be alert if they saw me panicking. I tried Elias' phone, but it wasn't even connecting. “Where are you?” I said to my
ELIAS'S POV I opened my eyes slowly, and light flooded in, making me snap them shut. Everywhere was bright, and I felt so peaceful. I finally opened my eyes and took in the sight of my surroundings, after opening and snapping them shut a couple of times. I looked around. I was in a room with dove gray paint. There was a white desk with drawers. On top of it was a mirror with a white frame. The chair was a mixture of white and grey. There was a wardrobe in the corner, also painted white. Then, the bed on which I was sleeping had white sheets, and in front of me was a large glass wall, overlooking the beach, crashing peacefully on the sandy shores. The sun was high in the sky, and I couldn't remember the last time the sky had been that bright and beautiful. Where was I?I sat up, and jumped back as I saw a hand peeping out from under the blankets. A familiar feminine hand. I threw back the sheets, and there was Scarlet, beautifully curled up on the bed in a white satin shirt, and sh
SCARLET'S POV Carla fell to the floor, with her hand on her heart, breathing heavily. “Was that Sylvia? Oh jeez, I had to run all the way here.” She said, struggling to breathe. I raised her to her feet, and poured a glass of water for her. She drank greedily and at once, then turned to me, as I began to pick up the shards of the plates. “I came here to tell you something. What was it?” She asked herself. “What was it? It was really urgent. How could I forget it?” She asked, grabbing her hair, and looking like she was in shock. I finished packing up the shards, and was about to tell her we had to find Elias when she suddenly screamed.“Ralph! He's awake! Damn it, he wanted to see you!” She shouted, making her way out of the kitchen, and I followed after her, dashing out of the house, and forgetting to lock the door. Ralph… Ralph was awake! My hope! With his help, I was very sure we'd find Elias, and we'd be able to save Sylvia and take out the monster that was in her. Carla and I
ELIAS'S POVAs I saw her being yanked back into the cave, I held onto her outstretched hands feeling like my heart was going to burst. Due to my sudden outreach, the old lady fell against me, and was going to fall and roll down a little hill. I grabbed her roughly, but ended up almost being pulled with her into the cave with Scarlet.“Elias!” Ralph shouted, as Scarlet's hand left mine, and I made to go in.He pushed me aside roughly, and I struggled to make sure the woman didn't get injured. I hit the floor instead of her, and saw that she was shaking like a leaf, very terrified at what had happened.“Are you okay?” I asked her, and she nodded, getting off me, and sitting on the floor.Just then, we heard a loud sound. It was rocks blocking the entrance from nowhere. I only heard Scarlet's final scream before the large rocks blocked every sound.“Do you want to get killed? You and her would have been crushed with those rocks!” Ralph scolded in anger, but I couldn't even focus on him.
SCARLET'S POVI got to my feet immediately, banging painfully on the rocks, even though I knew it was futile. The fear of being alone rising within me was like an entity itself, but screaming made me feel more vulnerable.“Elias!” I called out loud, but couldn't hear anything. All was silent, and it made me realize I was truly alone. There was no one to rescue me.I turned around slowly, looking around me. “Where are you?” I asked out loud, looking around me. No reply came back to me, so I went around, wondering if there was another opening, somewhere else that could get me out. But the cave was completely sealed off. I took in deep breaths, as I surveyed the walls, and any place that seemed like an opening. It took quite a while for me to accept that I was completely sealed off in the cave, and that there was no leaving, not until I came face to face with the demon. “I'm not dying. It seems like it, but that's not the case.” I said to myself, gathering my courage. The demon wanted
ELIAS'S POVI stared at her to be sure she was really serious, and that she wasn't just going to get my hopes high. “You were on your way here before?” I asked, and she nodded, walking towards me. “I wanted to know if Scarlet was doing fine. I also wanted to tell her it was better if she confined Sylvia, but she wasn't picking up.” She explained. “So how can you help?” I asked, and her mate handed her her bag. She opened it and dipped her hand within. “It so happens that I know this cave.” She said, looking at me as her hand roamed the contents of the bag. “It has two entrances.” She said, taking out a large old piece of parchment. “I've been searching for an entrance since. I couldn't find any. You're sure it hasn't been sealed?” I asked, but she rolled open the parchment, and began to trail her painted red finger on it.“Here.” Fredrick, her mate pointed out.“Yes, here. There's an old mine underneath the cave. It's really large, and it has another entrance.” She explained. “R
